Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi tarea creativa más reciente un hermoso par de agarra ollas estilo manoplas hechas de jeans con la que participare en el concurso ¨ NedleWork Your Jeans ¨ y las cuales tuve la idea de hacer el día de ayer.
Today I want to share with you my most recent creative task, a beautiful pair of mitten-style pot holders made of jeans that I will enter the ¨NeedleWork Your Jeans¨ contest with and which I had the idea to make yesterday.
Cuando me encontraba en casa cocinando junto a mi madre y estaba por colar la pasta pero no tenía con que agarrar la olla por lo que tome un paño de cocina pero fue poco práctico y muy incómodo ya que tenía mucho miedo que se me cayera la olla porque no tenía un buen agarre y con ello podía quemarme.
When I was at home cooking with my mother and I was about to strain the pasta but I didn't have anything to hold the pot with, so I took a kitchen towel but it was impractical and very uncomfortable since I was very afraid that I would drop the pot because it did not have a good grip and with it I could burn myself.
Por lo que pensé como tanto a mi madre y a mí nos encanta cocinar sobre todo postres constantemente nos vemos en este problema de como agarrar las cacerolas calientes y moverlas de un lado a otro y hemos tenido uno que otro accidente porque tomar cualquier trapo no es nada practico a la hora de tomar una cacerola o molde de aluminio o metal ya que este está muy caliente y si el trapo es muy fino podemos quemarnos.
From what I thought as both my mother and I love to cook especially desserts we constantly find ourselves in this problem of how to grab hot pans and move them from one side to another and we have had the occasional accident. Because taking any cloth is not practical when taking an aluminum or metal saucepan or mold since it is, very hot and if the cloth is very thin we can burn ourselves.
Por ello lo ideal es tener algo que nos proporcione comodidad y seguridad a la hora de realizar tal tarea y fue allí donde se me ocurrió hacer estos agarra ollas estilo manoplas que no solo me darían protección de quemarme las manos sino también mejor agarre y seguridad a la hora de mover una cacerola de un lado a otro.
For this reason, the ideal is to have something that provides us with comfort and safety when carrying out such a task, and it was there that it occurred to me to make these mitten-style pot holders that would not only give me protection from burning a my hands, also better grip and security when moving a saucepan from one side to another.
A continuación les mostrare los materiales que emplee y los pasos a seguir para su elaboración.

Materiales.
- Tela de jean (sacada de unos jeans viejos)
- Tijeras
- Un marcador
- Silicona
- Relleno (de sostén)
- Foami
- Hilo y aguja
- Una Cinta
- Encaje.
Materials.
- Jean fabric (taken from old jeans)
- Pair of scissors
- A marker
- silicone
- Padding (from a bra)
- Foami
- Thread and needle
- A ribbon
- Lace.
Elaboración.
Elaboration.
Paso 1
Tome la tela de jeans la voltee y coloque el relleno luego con el marcador trace unas líneas donde cortaría el rectángulo de agarra ollas.
Take the jean fabric, turn it over and place the filling, then with the marker draw some lines where you would cut the pot holder rectangle.
Paso 2
Después con el hilo y aguja cosí las parte laterales e inferior del rectángulo, luego le di vuelta y metí el relleno.
Then with the needle and thread I sewed the sides and bottom of the rectangle, then I turned it over and put the stuffing.
Para luego aparte tome un trozo sobrante corte otro rectángulo más pequeño y lo pegue cosiendo la parte superior y los laterales.
Then aside, take a leftover piece, cut another smaller rectangle and glue it sewing the top and sides.
Paso 3
Después procedí a colocar el encaje en el borde del bolsillo que hice imite el mismo proceso y posteriormente con la silicona pegue la cinta a los lados arriba y debajo.
Then I proceeded to place the lace on the edge of the pocket that I made, imitate the same process and later with the silicone paste the tape on the sides, above and below.
Una vez hecho esto tome el foami lo corte, doble y dibuje, en el un corazón que luego pase por unos segundos en la plancha caliente para moldearlo y luego pegue y agregue los detalles finales.
Once this is done, take the foami, cut it, fold it and draw a heart on it, which you then spend a few seconds on the hot iron to mold it and then glue and add the final details.
