Hace bastantes meses no agarró una tijera y los hilos para transformar algo. En mi era bastante habitual estar renovando mi vestuario o el de mi hija constantemente, sin embargo el tiempo ahora no me rinde como antes...
Tengo en mente varias prendas por arreglar y hoy empecé con la más sencilla!
Mi experiencia con la costura es nivel aficionado... Sin embargo no pierdo las esperanzas de algún día mejorar mis conocimientos y practicarlo de manera profesional.
El día de hoy decidí transformar una camisa vieja y calurosa con poco uso, en una camisa más fresca para hacer deporte en casa! ☺️
Para esta modificación no use hilo ni aguja, solo la tijera y un poquito de imaginación, antes he modificado prendas con este tipo de tela y me gusta porque no de deshilacha.
Sin más preámbulos les dejaré aquí el paso a paso de mi práctico y sencillo trabajo.
It's been quite a few months since I grabbed a scissors and threads to transform something. It used to be quite usual for me to be renovating my wardrobe or my daughter's wardrobe constantly, but now I don't have the time I used to have...
I have in mind several garments to fix and today I started with the simplest one!
My experience with sewing is amateur level.... However, I don't lose hope of someday improving my knowledge and practice it in a professional way.
Today I decided to transform an old and warm shirt with little use, into a cooler shirt to do sports at home! ☺️
For this modification I didn't use thread or needle, just the scissors and a little bit of imagination, I have modified garments with this type of fabric before and I like it because it doesn't fray.
Without further ado I will leave you here the step by step of my practical and simple work.

PASOS // STEPS
En primer lugar tome la camisa que quería modificar y visualicé el aspecto que quería que tuviera.
Mi deseo es usarla para hacer ejercicios en casa o sencillamente agarrarla para uso diario!
First I took the shirt I wanted to modify and visualized what I wanted it to look like.
My desire is to wear it to workout at home or simply grab it for everyday wear!
Empecé por las mangas... Muy poco me gustan las camisas con mangas 😁 a lo que Tengo oportunidad de quitársela, lo hago!
Para ello corte a 2 dedos de la costura.
I started with the sleeves... Very little I like shirts with sleeves 😁 to what I have opportunity to remove it, I do it!
To do this cut to 2 fingers from the seam.
Luego hice un pequeño corte en el área del cuello de la camisa y lo corte por completo.
A partir de este momento mi camisa, tenía un aspecto de camiseta! Me iba gustando el resultado! 😁
I then made a small cut in the collar area of the shirt and cut it all the way through.
From this point on my shirt, it had a t-shirt look! I was growing to like the result! 😁
Llegó la parte que más trabajo me dió... Creo que era por la tijera que use. 😁
Actualmente no cuento con tijera para cortar tela y eso entorpece un poco más el trabajo.
Lo que hice fue doblar la camisa a la mitad y empezar hacer cortes con la tijera de manera que me quedarán tiras.
Here came the part that gave me the most work.... I think it was because of the scissors I used. 😁
I don't currently have scissors to cut fabric and that makes the job a little more difficult.
What I did was fold the shirt in half and start making cuts with the scissors so that I would be left with strips.
Finalmente al tener las tiras listas...
Empecé hacer los nudos... En realidad es la parte que más me relajo de hacer esta modificación... Y también fue lo que le dio a mi prenda ese toque diferente!
Finally having the strips ready....
I started tying the knots... It's actually the part that relaxed me the most about making this modification.... And it was also what gave my garment that different touch!
Finalmente... Luego de algunas horas de trabajo, mi camiseta está lista para hacer deporte!
Este fue el resultado!

Y de esta manera termina mi Post el día de hoy, se siente bien modificar una prenda y darle una segunda oportunidad de vida!
