Today I want to share with you what my excitement of achieving my first Granny represents and I want to share it with you, come and I'll tell you 😊

Hace poco leí en varias publicaciones de diferentes compañeras de esta querida comunidad en las que mostraban sus grannys, Yo me preguntaba: que serán grannys?

Les cuento, mi método de aprendizaje en el crochet ha sido por medio de videos y muchas veces o no explican bien los nombres de los diferentes tejidos o soy yo la que no presta mucha atención por seguir mi emoción de aprender.

Mis conocimientos se basan en lo que he visto en videos y puede que haga cualquier tipo de tejido pero sin saber los nombres exactos de cómo se llaman cada uno, con respecto a los grannys no sabia que era el tipo de tejido en forma cuadrada y a decir verdad nunca había tejido uno.

Y hoy quiero mostrarles un poco de el proceso de como hice mi primer granny y la idea que tuve de copiar mi gatito llamado Negro, para mi representa una figura especial, hice lo mejor que pude, espero les guste:

I recently read several publications from different colleagues in this beloved community in which they showed their grannies. I wondered: what are they grannies?

I tell you, my method of learning crochet has been through videos and many times either they do not explain the names of the different fabrics well or I am the one who does not pay much attention to follow my excitement of learning.

My knowledge is based on what I have seen in videos and I may make any type of fabric but without knowing the exact names of what each one is called, with respect to the grannys I did not know what the square-shaped type of fabric was and to say Truthfully, I had never woven one.

And today I want to show you a little of the process of how I made my first granny and the idea I had of copying my kitten called Negro, for me he represents a special figure, I did the best I could, I hope you like it:

Hasta donde he visto, el crochet es cuestión de imaginación e ingenio, así que comencé a pensar de qué manera podría hacer una cara de gatito que se pareciera a mi negro, para tener una idea trate de dibujarlo en una hoja para guiarme, el proceso no fue tan fácil como esperaba como materiales utilicé:

Materiales

• 1 Estambres blanco

• 1 estambre gris

• 1 estambre negro

• pequeños trozos de estambre amarillo y rosado

• aguja de tejer

• Imaginación 😊

As far as I have seen, crochet is a matter of imagination and ingenuity, so I started to think about how I could make a kitty face that looked like my black, to get an idea I tried to draw it on a sheet to guide me, the process It was not as easy as I expected as materials I used:

Materials

• 1 white stamens

• 1 gray yarn

• 1 black yarn

• small pieces of yellow and pink yarn

• knitting needle

• Imagination 😊

El proceso de tejido fue sencillo, lo complicado estuvo en ir llevando la secuencia de colores, para comenzar hace un aro mágico, seguido de 3 cadenas, luego dentro de nuestro aro mágico hacemos 2 puntos altos y 2 cadenas en 4 series luego cerramos la vuelta con un punto deslizado.

The weaving process was simple, the complicated part was in carrying out the sequence of colors, to begin we make a magic hoop, followed by 3 chains, then inside our magic hoop we make 2 double crochets and 2 chains in 4 series then we close the round with a slipped stitch.

Desde la segunda vuelta en adelante comenzaremos con tres cadenas seguidas de puntos altos hasta llegar a cada esquina del cuadrado, luego haremos en cada esquina a hacer 2 puntos altos, 2 cadenas, 2 puntos altos y seguimos la secuencia de puntos altos hasta cerrar cada vuelta.

From the second round onwards we will start with three chains followed by double crochets until we reach each corner of the square, then in each corner we will do 2 double crochets, 2 chains, 2 double crochets and continue the sequence of double crochets until closing each round .

Éste fue mi primer ensayo de Granny, nose si lo hice bien, para ir agregando el color negro iba dejando cada sobrante de hilo en la parte trasera de mi tejido, tratando de llevar la secuencia de colores en ambos lados, y fui tratando de guiarme con el dibujo que había hecho.

Fue un poco difícil sobre todo en la parte de hacerle las orejitas a mi carita de gato y les confieso no me quedaron simétricas, pero a medida que iba tejiendo, me iba encantando la figura que se iba formando y no me pareció tan mal dejarlo así 😊

This was my first Granny rehearsal, I don't know if I did it right, to add the black color I was leaving every leftover thread on the back of my fabric, trying to carry the sequence of colors on both sides, and I was trying to guide myself with the drawing he had made.

It was a little difficult, especially in the part of making the ears for my cat face and I confess they were not symmetrical, but as I was knitting, I loved the shape that was being formed and it didn't seem so bad to leave it like that. 😊

Al conseguir el tamaño de la cara le fui agregando color gris para poder continuar con las orejas, este fue el punto más difícil, tratar de conseguir el tamaño para las orejas y lograr que me quedaran parecidas 😊

When I got the size of the face I added gray color to be able to continue with the ears, this was the most difficult point, trying to get the size for the ears and making them look similar 😊

Al finalizar mi tejido le hice los ojos en color amarillo, luego se los cosi a mi figura, les bordé la raya negra del centro de cada ojo, luego le hice la figura de la nariz y la boquita en color rosado igual a la de mi negro y así finalicé mi granny con cara de gatito, me gustó mucho como me quedó a pesar de las dificultades y de los errores que cometí 🫣🐈‍⬛

At the end of my knitting I made the eyes in yellow, then I sewed them to my figure, I embroidered the black stripe in the center of each eye, then I made the figure of the nose and mouth in pink, the same as my black and that's how I finished my granny with a kitten face, I really liked how it turned out despite the difficulties and the mistakes I made 🫣🐈‍⬛

Es emocionante cada vez que aprendemos algo nuevo, y se que tuve errores en mi tejido pero me encantó el resultado, ya tengo mi primer granny con la carita de mi gatito Negro 🐈‍⬛, espero poder hacer mas figuras y compartirlas en esta querida comunidad, me despido por hoy agradeciendo por visitar mi publicación, hasta otra oportunidad 🤗
