A few days ago my mother got a pair of pants in an offer and she gave it to my daughter, a huge pair of pants, when we saw it we laughed a lot, my daughters got into the pants and they both fit, we were all surprised to see pants so Big 😳, my daughter asked me: what can you do with it?, so we started looking for options.
Hace unos días mi mamá consiguió un pantalón en una oferta y se lo regaló a mi hija, un pantalón mega grandísimo, al verlo nos reímos muchísimo, mis hijas se metieron en el pantalón y cabían las dos, todos nos sorprendimos al ver un pantalón tan Grande 😳, mi hija me pregunto: que puedes hacerme con el?, entonces comenzamos a buscar opciones.
My daughter had wanted a vest for a long time to match her blouses, so she suggested that I make her one and if she could get a short, I told her yes, the fabric was enough for both of us and she was very happy, so I got down to it. the work and to use it on her 18th birthday 🎉🥰 which was yesterday March 22, but she told me to use it next Saturday that she will meet with her friends and I thought her idea was excellent.
To start making the creation with these pants, I completely disassemble them except for the front part where the zipper goes, since I would reuse it for the Short that I plan to make and also the pockets.
Mi hija desde hace tiempo quería un chaleco para combinar con sus blusas entonces me sugirió que le hiciera uno y si se podía un short, le dije que si, que la tela era suficiente para ambos y ella se alegró muchísimo, entonces me puse manos a la obra y que lo usara en su cumple número 18 🎉🥰 el cual fue ayer 22 de marzo, pero ella me dijo que lo usara el próximo sábado que se reunirá con sus amigos y me pareció excelente su idea.
Para comenzar a hacer la creación con este pantalón lo desarme completamente a excepción de la parte delantera donde va el cierre ya que esta la reutilizaría para el Short que pienso hacer y también los bolsillos
I separated the back parts from the front ones, I looked for a Short for my daughter to use as a mold, draw on the fabric, before cutting, I made it a little bigger since the back part is going to be rubberized and the model is for you stay loose
Separé las partes de atrás de las de adelante busqué un Short de mi hija para utilizarlo como molde, dibujen sobre la tela, antes de cortar, lo hice un poco más grande ya que la parte trasera va a ser engomada y el modelo es para que quede holgado
After the remaining scraps I drew the vest Guided by a shirt which fits my daughter very well, these types of vests are not that difficult, but I don't have much experience making them, so this was a complete challenge for me, so I wouldn't The front part would be so difficult for me, I didn't do tweezers, I cut it exactly, the back part I cut it into three parts, two on the sides and one in the center so that the figure would stand out more.
Luego de los retazos restantes dibujé el chaleco Guiándome por una camisa la cual le queda pegadita a mi hija, este tipo de chalecos no son tan difíciles, pero no tengo mucha experiencia haciendolos, así que este fue un completo desafío para mí, para que no se me dificultara tanto la parte delantera no le hice pinzas lo corté exacto, la parte trasera si la corté en tres partes dos laterales y una en el centro para que resaltara más la figura.
I started sewing the Short, I reused the pockets from the previous model, I only had to join one of the edges and sew, it was quite easy since the pocket was all designed both inside and out.
Join the sides after the pocket, then I adjusted the hem part since one of the parts was longer than the other, the difficult part of reusing the pockets is to square them well so that the piece we are creating is not deformed.
Then I sewed this waistband, I sewed it up to the sides of there, I looked for a piece of rubber and I sewed it, putting it in the inside of the waistband and passing seams on the outside, I did every detail so that my Short It will be perfect then iron so that the seams are flat.
Comencé cosiendo el Short, los bolsillos los reutilicé del modelo anterior sólo tuve que unir en una de las orillas y pasar costura, fue algo bastante fácil ya que el bolsillo estaba todo diseñado tanto por dentro como por fuera.
Unir los laterales luego de el bolsillo, después acomodé la parte del ruedo ya que una de las partes me quedó más larga que la otra, la parte difícil de reutilizar los bolsillos es cuadrarlos bien para que no quede deforme la pieza que estamos creando.
Luego fui cosiendo la pretina esta la cosi hasta la parte de los lados de allí busqué un pedazo de goma y se lo cosí metiéndolo por la parte de adentro de la pretina y pasándole costuras por la parte de afuera, hice cada detalle para que mi Short quedara perfecto luego planche para que las costuras quedaran bien planas.
Then I started to sew my vest, I had cut it with the tab that would be to fold and with space for three buttons, which was my surprise that when my daughter measured it, it fit her just right.
It is one of the enormous defects that I have when sewing, since by not making patterns and drawing directly on the fabrics, sometimes the pieces of my garments are very large or very small and then I must either cut them too much or add them.
But I quickly looked for a solution, I modified a little in the front part and from the pieces that I had left I began to take out all the strips that I needed to make the edges and enlarge it a little in the front part, in each seam I was ironing so as not to make mistakes again.
After all the leftover pieces, I took out the ones I needed for all the edges of the vest, until I finished it, it took me a long time but I was very pleased with the result, since it turned out very cute and my daughter loved it and it fit her perfectly 👌
Luego comencé a coser el chaleco, éste lo había cortado con la pestaña que sería para doblar y con el espacio como para tres botones, cual fue mi sorpresa que al medírselo a mi hija le quedó justo.
Es es uno de los defectos enormes que tengo al coser, ya que al no hacer patrones y dibujar directamente sobre las telas a veces me quedan muy grandes o muy pequeñas las piezas de mis prendas y luego debo o cortarle demasiado o añadirle
Pero rápidamente le busqué solución, modifiqué un poco en la parte de adelante y de los retazos que me quedaban comencé a sacar todas las tiras que necesitaba para hacer las orillas y agrandarlo un poco en la parte delantera, en cada costura iba planchando para no equivocarme nuevamente.
Luego de todo los retazos sobrantes saqué los que necesitaba para todas las orillas del chaleco, hasta que lo terminé, me tomó bastante tiempo pero con el resultado quedé muy complacida, ya que quedó muy lindo y a mi hija le encantó y le quedó perfecto 👌
I loved designing an outfit using such Big pants, sometimes we come across discounts in stores with these types of clothes and we don't think of reusing them for something else and we miss that opportunity and many times these clothes are very cheap.
thanks to my mother who got this offer and gave my daughter the pants and with this I was able to make her a very cute design to wear to celebrate her birthday 🎂🥰.

Me encantó diseñar un conjunto utilizando un pantalón tan Grande, a veces nos topamos con descuentos en las tiendas con este tipo de ropa y no pensamos en reutilizarlas para otra cosa y desaprovechamos esa oportunidad y muchas veces estas prendas son muy económicas.
gracias a mi madre que consiguió esta oferta y le obsequió el pantalón a mi hija y con este pude hacerle un diseño muy lindo para lucir en la celebración de su cumpleaños 🎂🥰.
