This time it's about a piece of clothing I sewed for my daughter. A pair of pants with suspenders known as gardener, dungarees or overalls depending on the country or region. They are usually made in denim, but in my case it won't be like that.
The fabric I will use is black rayon with white polka dots, very appropriate for our climate for the freshness it brings. It is soft to the touch and has a very good drape, which makes it ideal for this casual design.
The first thing I did was to cut the different pieces. The 2 front parts, the 2 back parts, 4 long rectangles for the straps and the bias binding.
Then I sewed the 2 front and back pieces together with a straight seam. Then I joined them at the sides and between the legs, and finished with zig zag stitching to avoid fraying the fabric. I made the 4 straps and placed them at the corners of the dungarees. Over them I placed the bias binding facing the fabric and sewed the 3 pieces together. This is how I did the front and the back. Then I turned everything right side out and finished the outside with a seam to prevent it from coming out with use. The photo shows how it turned out.
Finally I sewed the hem of the hem of both legs to finish my work.
I hope you like my proposal today. I was satisfied with the result and my daughter was very happy with her new polka dot pants.

Hola!! Estoy de regreso para compartir con todos ustedes mi aventura costurera de fin de semana.
Esta vez se trata de una pieza de ropa que cosí para mí hija. Un pantalón con tirante conocido como jardinero, peto u overol dependiendo del país o región. Generalmente son elaborados en mezclilla, pero en mi caso no será así.
La tela que utilizaré es rayón negro con lunares blancos, muy apropiada para nuestro clima por la frescura que aporta. Es suave al tacto y tiene una caída muy buena, lo que la hace ideal para este diseño desenfadado.
Lo primero que hice fue cortar las diferentes piezas. Las 2 partes delanteras, las 2 traseras, 4 rectángulos largos para los tirantes y los bieses.
Posteriormente con costura recta junté las 2 piezas delanteras y las traseras. Después las uní por los laterales y entre las piernas, rematé con costura de zig zag para evitar el deshilachado del tejido.
Hice los 4 tirantes y los coloqué en las esquinas del peto. Sobre ellos puse el bies enfrentando los derechos de la tela y cosí las 3 piezas. Asi realicé la parte delantera e igual la trasera. Luego viré todo al derecho y rematé por el exterior con una costura para evitar que se salga con el uso. La foto muestra cómo quedó.
Finalmente cosí el dobladillo del ruedo de ambas piernas para dar por terminada mi labor.
Espero que les guste mi propuesta de hoy. Yo quedé satisfecha con el resultado y mi hija muy feliz con su nuevo pantalón de lunares.
