Its indeed another beautiful Monday morning of a new week and am happy to stop by once again.
I do hope that the mothers among us had some wine and a wonderful celebration for the mothers day yesterday.
I want to congratulate you for standing by your kids and the love and tenderness with which you help them grow. And to the mother like sister and aunties among us, I love and celebrate you all.
To participate in needlework project for today I made something simple. The simplest skirt that can take you not more than 1hr.
As long as I have the waist hip and length measurements.
Why did I make a simple skirt?.
This is certainly because my unfinished projects are out of the way.
I am happy to say that I am gradually coming to the completion of all my work in progress and unfinished jobs. Totally clearing out my wardrope of them 💃💃💃💃💃
Except for one one jumpsuits that is beyond redemption which I still don't know how to rip the seams to readjust it and maybe just one more top.
Now I can make new outfits . 💃💃💃🌹💐🌼🍷🍸
Inspiration for my skirt.
Well maybe simplicity can be beautiful too.
Sometimes I search for inspiration on how to make a new design online. But while working I end up following my heart to sew whatever comes in mind.
Sometimes the fabric is not enough to make the style on the internet, so I follow my instincts and make something different on my own, beautiful or not.
This denim was less than a yard I had a different plan for it but it turns out that a simple straight skirt is all I could get.
To make it more creative, a front slit was added and the base lace trimmings.
The final steps were a search for a matching top for my skirt.
Am not good with color and had to tty different colors of the blouses in my bag.
My sis said any color would match a denim.
Am not sure about that but it seems the blue is magically fitting all the tops I tried it with.
