Hello Hive.
Happy Salah to all my Muslim friends, it has been a long 30 days of fasting and we all know how difficult it is to fast and stay consecrated from the thing we love in a bid to seek for God mercy, I pray that our fasting and absteinences will not be in vain.
While my friends are enjoying their Salah today, I am also not having a bad weekend. We have a choir worship Experience yesterday and today and we have been in the presence of God singing, dancing and worshiping God. Sometimes it is not always about praying and fasting, God inhabits the praises of his people and praises is a potent weapon that has broken down the walls of Jericho in time past, this goes to reveal our praises and thanksgiving as a weapon to destroy the works of darkness while appreciating the Almightiness of our heavenly father.
For yesterday outfits we were to appear in royab blue blouse and a blue berret. That's the uniform right there and I am right behind the lead singer.
To make this blouse I got a yard of royal fabric and which was sold for $2. Using my measurements I stated with cutting the front and back piece of my outfits here
Next I used my waist measurements to cut out a flair for the lower part of the blouse
A next step was the cutting of the two part sleeve here. The upper bogus one with a band for it here.
And then it was stitching o°clock. I stated with turning the necklines of the blouse and then fixing the zipper at the front. They actually chose a specific kind of design in which I had little time to sew hence I decided to sew a normal simple blouse for myself with a front Zipper.
I took the upper part of the elegant sleeves and pleated it to the lower band here
Here is what my sleeve looks like after that
Next I attached the flair to the base of my dress and gave it a little pressing before the power supply was cut off right before I was done sewing.
For the final step, I attached the sleeves to the dress and stitched up the seam allowances using a bias to turn the edges of my blouse. Having completed that, my blouse was completed and we had the best time in Gods presence. Today is another episode of the program and I won't be missing out. I believe that you all definitely understand how colorful and beautiful it often is whenever Africans praise God in their cultural dialects and attires, the blend of Culture in worship is usually a beauty to behold.
