I believe that we are still very much new into the year and it won't hurt to keep more of the new year greeting coming. Hope we are adjusting well and making preparation ahead of the year.
We may not have had the chance to do so in the last week of December but it is neither too late to spell out some goals. Having set some sewing goals for last year I understood the importance of setting goals and how that has helped me to achieve huge success in my working career.
I have heard that an unwritten goal is like a wish I our head which can be easily forgotten and besides we may not pursue these goals with enough vitality and enthusiasm.
Writing down our goals makes the vision clear and we wake up each day to hit the road running and to do all it takes to achieve our goals.
Yesterday was a goal setting moment for me and while I had thought that it was a simple task meant to be done with within few minutes it was beginning to take longer than I can imagine. I realized that I had my lifestyle divided into several portions that needs a set goal under some of the following heading you see below.
- Set of rules/spiritual goals
- Career/Sewing goals
- Hive Blockchain/blogging goals
I am certain that there are some headings that are yet to come to mind.
The career/sewing is the only headline related here and this is the draft I made of it.
This is a bit blurry but I have it spelt out here.
My To buy list are
- Embroidery board
- Standing Mirror
- Green carpet
- Led lights and lightening for my working space.
- Cubboard and Hangers
- Weaving machine
- Steam press iron
- Stoning machine.
I am neither scared nor worried about the inflated prices of this items, I believe in taking things one step at a time and some saving goals from finances will help me achieve this. Any carry over of unpurchased item will be moved to another year.
We have the grace of more and more years ahead to achieve our dreams. Every year is an opportunity to try again rather than feel bitter that we didn't achieve everything in one year.
To-do list
I have equally spelt out my to-do list for the year which includes
- Signing and attending upgrade classes to enhance. Fashion never fades and if we wish to remain in business we must stay updated. Attending upgrade classes is one of the ways to expand our creativity and imagine if you can get that knowledge very cheaply
This December and January we have some top fashion designers who volunteer to teach these classes for a token on their telegram pages.
A list of some sewing courses you can take for only a dollar. Upgrade courses can be expenses and even up to a $100 dollar but you can learn some basics from watching courses that will be pasted in the classes listed above.
- Working on my exhibition, brand name, logo and business registration
As this wasn't achieved last year.
- Learn more about fabrics and create a fabric boutique/collection.
Creativity cuts across the types of fabrics we have in our cubboard, they give us inspiration most times and having a small cubboard with some fabric collections won't be a bad idea and would be beneficial to the business in a long run.
These are some of the major points I can call to mind for now and I might be added a few as I remember.
All images are mine and I have gotten them from an already established designer who is in business alread. They will serve as a guide for me on what I wish to achieve or possess in the future, and of course I can purchase better versions of whatever I see here.
