Hello Hive.
A happy weekend to all my friends and creative minds in the community.
I'm happy to share to see the light of a new day and to wake up hale and hearty. Like you all know a bit about my schedules. We are already in the farm working which is often my days activities while every sewing task has been shifted to the night time. Most times we have to assume multiple Jobs/task here in order to make a fair sum of money that will sustain us and our families.
The farm is basically where myself and family get some of our food supplies while sewing has been helpful lately with finances. I get to earn some amount of money sewing for people.
Here is one of my sewing projects which I had just concluded last night. I was pretty much awake cutting and sewing. I had sewn an off shoulder Blouse with a chest line ruffle. I had earlier used the fabric to sew an a mermaids skirt which was a hand-on learning and sew project for me. I was learning how to cut and sew such type of skirt design for the first time. I decided to sew an off shoulder blouse with a ruffle design of the remaining fabrics
To make this I stated by cutting an off shoulder basic bodice here.
For the front I did an underbust contour to fit a size 6 Model.
Next I had taking the fabric and cut out the linings in a similar pattern
Then it was necessary to add some paper stay and guk stay to make the fabric firmer before I began sewing.
For the sewing I had stitched and turned out the necklines and side seams, joined the front and back bodice before I proceeded to work on the ruffle .
To make a ruffle like this, I measured out 120" width fabric and then made the length as long as 120". Having seen it on th wrong side I turned it over to the right side.
Then I cut out another fabric of about 30" and I settled it into the larger fabric, this was used to pull the longer satin fabric into a gathers which I now used hand needles and thread to manually tack and stitch down the ruffle.
The last step was the zipper fixing and our blouse is ready.
After that i now attached the ruffle to the main blouse I had earlier sewn and here is the beauty I had created.
I had intentionally used a plain black fabric for the ruffle since the main fabric is a blend of both black and white.
What do you think of the ruffle blouse?
My friend can decided to rock the outfits in different ways with either the different skirt and vice versa.
