Today I made some fabric embellishments design I want to share with us for your garment embellishments. Most times it is not easy to compete an outfit in a day or two. The processes of designing a dress takes so much time and process.

These flowers can be used to embellished any type of clothes or used to create some new designs.

Many a times when we sew clothes, there is always the pressure to purchase ready made roses, accessories like chains and flowers to decorate the outfit but today I thought of a cheaper method using diy for our garment embellishments.
And this was what I had used to embellish my sister outfit here

If at all you have fabrics that have flowery patterns on them like this type you can also try this process.

I cut out the flower shaped like design on the fabric.

Added some tissues stay in it to give it the desired firmess. Without the tissue stau the accessories won't stay firm on her body.

Next I got these rhinestones and carefully arranged them on the fabric

And then got the steam iron warm enough to melt the rhinestones and have them glue into the flower pattern.

It is not right to expose the other side of the fabric especially with the white papper stay added, to that we cut off several pieces and used it to cover the back of the fabric flowers.

After that was done, I got my sheer scissors and cut out the edges neatly to give it some clean edges in zigzag format

The final step was to use either a candle glue or some neat stitches to attach this to the cloth.

The dress was wihout sleeves earlier as I was deliberating on which style of sleeve go add to it. Finally
I cut out an off shoulder sleeve and a bulb for the hemming

I created a gathers for the hemming of the sleeve and attached it to the dress.

And this was how I finally completed my sister outfit. The outfit got completed right in time for her to attend a program with it coming up tomorrow.

Funny enough I was so pained to see alot of mistakes on the final outfit when she wore it. This mistakes all showed up because it was my first time of sewing an off shoulder especially for her.

This reminds me of the need to keep practicing more often,it makes our skills better and some knowledge that would have been lost will be preserved. This dress wouldn't have entered her body at all if not because of a final luck.
