Hello Hive

It's has been a really beautiful moment for me every since the new year began. I feel a newness like that of a new born baby that has just been giving a chance at life.
Take a look at my new slate.
I have just picked up a book to pen down what I hope to achieve this year.

I totally understand and value the importance of writing out our goals, this is where some of my miracles come to life. I remembered writing my goal for the year in the previous year having included a to buy list of some of the items I needed both for career and personal use.

Whenever I sit back to crosscheck those list and see how much I have been able to tick from the list it gives me so much satisfaction and joy. Sometimes when we feel like God hasn't done anything for us these list will remind us of how much we have achieved. It is said that we should count our blessing and name them one by one hence the importance of writing a list cannot be overemphasized.

For the one the concerns this community which has been about myself working towards setting up a fashion boutique for ready to wear outfits I have come to reinforce these my long term goals and hopefully someday they will become a reality.

From the list of last year, I have been able to achieve a great improvement in my skills which was part of the goals. Selling your handmade projects//works has a lot to do with skills, experience and expertise. I have learnt not to put myself under undue pressure. when some one ask me why I haven't started a fashion line yet I will just tell them that I will get started when I feel like I am ready.

Having check that out, I want to carry out a pretest and see how that goes, make a couple of outfits, put them up on social media and see if they get picked up.

Traditional sewing is when clients brings their wears for us to sew for them while in the modern day fashion we become creative directors who makes wears and then upload them online hoping that anyone will like the designs and come for the outfits.

Making something like this and packaging them up for sale will be a good start.

Out of my to buy list you can see a list of very pressing machines I will be needed to make my work easy.

• A decorative carpet
• Cupboard's
• Hangers
• Weaving machine.

All of these items aren't really expensive and about $400 can take care of the bill but for a developing country and low income earnings it may take up to a year to save this amount.
The weaving machine being the most needed machine here and a lifetime asset I have decided to save up and give it all it takes to own this machine before the year. I have ignored it's Importance and have been navigating my way but now that we will be having a fashion line it is necessary to have this machine so that we can make outfits with very neat finishing that will attract buyers.

From the writing to do list

• Staying a fashion line is the first which I have talked extensively about the how to above.
  I have made some beautiful English wear that may otherwise fit into a fabric boutique and you can see samples here

• Update my social account and business page as they will be the market for my products.

• Learn a new skill in the women fashion line - I want to learn how to make the women's headwear. It's the reigning fashion. An evolution in the fashion industry where women complement their outfits with very lovely headgears. An additional skill in making this wear will be an additional source of income for me.
  I usually make it a point of duty to learn new skill yearly, especially trending ones, this ensures that one doesn't get outdated in business.

Here is what a sample of women millinery head looks like, beautiful isn't it? I wish to learn and perfect my skills in this line.

• Own A Fabric boutique
  A fabric boutique is a collection of beautiful fabrics whereby walk in can get attracted to, make their choice and decide if they want us to design it for them.
  A fabric boutique is a good way to draw a customers attention to their fashion need. Some aren't sure if they desire new outfits or not but the idea of seeing a fabric line will compel anyone to want to purchase fabrics and sew clothes.

A collection of fabric boutique will be like this, well arrange in a fashion line for those who love to explore lovely fabrics.
I am grateful for all that I have been accomplished on the long-term career goal. It has been like a snail progress at some point but I'm happy that I didn't give or nurse that that idea. The vision is inexhaustible and this blog will be updated from time to time
