Hello Hive
A beautiful new week to everyone here, I hope that we are enjoying the peace and calmness that comes with the end of the year. I can feel the homecoming and the joy of so many families welcoming their loved ones home. Alot of people are on transit as we speak trying to get to different destination in order to go celebrate with their families. I wish everyone a safe trip to their various destination.
It's a beautiful thing that hive never sleeps, year in year out Blockchain is always active, there is no holiday here as well and a lot of people are happy to document their experience year in year out.
I have seen a lot of dishes flying the air and the decorations for Christmas, we feel happy to see all these beautiful things.
Today rather I am sharing with us the making process of this lovely Christmas dress I have sewn for my elder sister.
She chose this lovely flower pattern fabrics while I decided the style that will fit her physical.
Since I have always had issues with cutting the collar of outfits I decided to cut this dress with a friend who would guide me on how to get this done.
I stated by cutting a straight pattern which is the lower part of this dress here
Next is the cutting of the front and back bodice which was equally done individually here.
The sleeve is just a normal simple straight sleeve which I had cut here
My tailor friend assisted to taught me how better to cut the collar which I did and had it attached to the dress.
I'm happy that we are learning from each, it's a good thing for designers to support and assist each other when the time is ripe. We are not meant to be competing with each other but to assist one another to grow in the business.
I stated stitching the outfit by joining turning the zipper allowance, attaching the collars and joining the lower and side seam. Although the sewing was done late into the night with no power supply, I couldn't take pictures.
My sister dress is so simple yet beautiful.
One is down out of the many Christmas outfit project to be sewn. Barely 2days to Christmas and hopefully I won't disappoint some beautiful people hoping wear some new clothes and designs.
Merry Christmas in advance 💃💃🥳🥳🥳
