Hello Hive
Happy new week to my needleworkmonday family, I'm happy to be fully back in the community after some long days of exams. Although I was around but being active was a bit of a hassle as I had some challenging exams to attend to, it didn't give me the enthusiasm to stay active. I'm finally happy that the exams are over and wish myself some good grades even though my hopes are kind of shaky because of the difficulty of the exams. Although I can finally relax now but I don't feel at ease because I'm not sure of what to expect concerning the grades.
Today I will be showing you the making process of my twinee dress. So it turns out that I now have a twinnee out of nowhere.
My baby sister has caught up with me in height and size now even though she is only 13. We now wears the same size of clothes, shoes and all like myself, how fast these kids grow.
The challenge with this now is that she is becoming a lady and picky at every outfits she wears. Crawling into my closet to wear my clothes at random is what I won't tolerate
Maybe we have to engage in our own cat and dog chase of don't touch my things fight that sister often had, but this is different. She still feels like a baby to me each time I remember how little she was when mummy left us.
I made a dress for myself at about
two weeks and she has admired it ever since, rather than allow it steal away my dress which happens to be my favorite for now I decided to make one for her.
I cut out the front block with a lower necklines
Placed this on another fabric and cut out the back block
Next I got another piece of white fabric I would be using to tap the sleeve lines
Next I joined the shoulder lines and attached the plain fabric to the sleeves
Next were the joining in the seamlines which I did and asked her to try it on.
With this I was done with stitching her dress. This is the final warning I have giving Anastasia growing up under a seamstress if she is going to be enticed with my dresses she must be willing to learn how to sew and make her own outfits.
