Hello Hive
Happy new week to us all. It's needlework o clock and guess what our community is already getting flooded by beautiful and creative items. I'm happy to see a fellow member of our community sew a wedding outfit for her best friend, I just remembered when I also did like wise for my sister some few years back. I sewed my sister's traditional wear and several other outfit she used for the wedding celebration, I was so happy to dress her up for her big day.
Sooner that later I might have some bigger boutique that will dress as many more brides. And even if they were no brides I will clothes as many people in beautiful creative apparels made by me.
This is one of the dresses I made for myself yesterday. I have thought about sewing some few colorful dress for myself to add to my wardrobe. I had jackets for years that needed inner wear and for other necessities I needed some additional colorful dresses.
A lady should have some blend of colorful wears and I will suggest that black, red, wine, white and blue should not be missing from this colors. Wear what fits you and try to look your best.
If you have these colors around there will hardly br an occasion where you will be short on what to wear. Mind you these are not some very expensive wears.
You can actually look good even on the cheapest budge. I got the fabric for $2 and a matching necklace which I ordered online.
Here is the making process for this dress.
Spread the fabric and fold the fabric into two.
Next I measured out a size body measurements with 3.5inches by 2.5" with necklines for the front and a 3.5" X 1" width and debth for the back bodice..
Note that when cutting and sewing a stretchy fabrics like this it doesn't require the addition of excessive seam allowance as the the fabric will stretch out to hug your body shape.
After that I decided to cut out a short sleeve for my outfit. This time around I wanted to see how a short sleeve will look like on this type of dress.
Next I began the sewing from the necklines turning it with a bias cut from thesame fabric. Recently I have come to like how this t-shirt neckline design looks on me. I decided to sew it in a t-shirt
manner once more time.
Sewed some hemming on the sleeve and attached it to the dress before joining all the side seams.
My simple dress design is complemented by a beaded necklace so beautiful oooopppsss 😲 the Big girl needs a complementary handbag. 🫣🫣🫣🤣🤣🤣🤣. Not to worry I might just be gifted on this December 🤣🤣
My pretty friend here is already bargaining for my dress. This is now clothes keep missing from my ba. No matter the number of wear I make, they go missing each time I wish to wear them.
I'm happy with the fact that people love my creative design and appreciate every handmaid clothes I sew.
