Hello Hive
A very virtual greeting to everyone one in this great community. Today is Monday has I promise I always prepared a special needle work to post here.
I am proud to be the member of this great community where we can post what we do using sewing machine and many others.
Has you all know I deals on car interior like changing of sagging roof, reupholster of any car seat, fixing a spoil door carpet, renewing an expiring car dashboard, replacement of floor carpet and many others.
Today I am sharing with you all a very beautiful seat of a spider done by me and some simple steps I follow to achieve it.
If you notice in all my post I have only one method to achieve my work, therefore all the steps are the same is only the seat, the leather and the design changes.
Before
Nothing get wrong with the old seat just that the owner want to change it from clothes to leather.
Tools/Material used
Here some tools and materials I use for my work
- new leather
- match color thread
- Sewing machine
- sucket spanner
- Pilar
- star and flat screwdriver
- marker or pen or chalk
- clips
- gum
- roof material or half inches form etc
Here is my new leather
Steps by steps follow
Step 1
With the help of my star screw driver I loose out the side cover and then use my sucket spanner to loose the seat from the frame. See photo
Step 2
Here in this step I use my measurement tape to take the vertical and horizontal length of each joining. See photo below
I now transfer the measurement to my new leather and the mark it out. See photo below
I finally use my scissors ✂️ and cut it out.
Step 3
In this step I form the pattern of the seat by placing the cut material on its position and the trace the line out and the cut it out to form my shape. Or you can also achieve this by removing the old pattern and then trace it out exactly in the new leather.
Step 4
Here in this step I bring out my pattern and gum it to my roof material to make it smooth and stronger. See photo below
I now use my scissors ✂️ and cut it out.
Step 5
This is the sewing steps, where I use my sawing machine to join the pattern I cut out together exactly has it was in the old seat. Ie using the old seat has reference point
Here is the finished sewing seat cover
Step 6
The reupholster step, here I now use my Pilar and my clips to clip my new sew seat covers together, both the seat and the back.
The back side
And both the back and the seat
Then I finally tight them together and here is the outcome of it.
Then I took a picture with my new seat
Wow the new look of the seat is so beautiful and my customer was very happy about it. That is all for today see you again in my new post.
Thanks so much for your time and support God bless please you and please remember to comment thanks once again.
