Today, I have the pleasure to present a very cute project that concerns a crochet amigurumi knitting, which consists of a turtle 🐢 and a sunflower. Where the flower plays the role of the shell. Who is not going to like this little animal and this flower, since yesterday I was encouraged to make it because I got a notification from YouTube and when I saw this turtle with sunflower shell, I loved it that from that moment I looked for the material and I spent several hours in its realization. So I am going to detail some steps of the process.

Hoy tengo el placer de presentar un proyecto muy lindo que se refiere a un tejido amigurumi con crochet, el cual consiste en una tortuga 🐢 y un girasol. Donde la flor hace el papel de caparazón. A quien no le va a gustar este animalito y esta flor, desde ayer me animé a realizarla porque me llegó una notificación de YouTube y cuando vi esta tortuga con caparazón de girasol, me encantó que desde ese momento busqué el material y le dedique varias horas en su realización. Entonces voy a detallar algunos pasos del proceso.
Step by step//Paso a paso
Materials//Materiales:
- Dark green worsted yarn.
- A pair of safety eyes.
- A crochet needle No. 1.
- Light brown and yellow wick yarn.
- 01 circle of green felt.
- Synthetic stuffing.
- Hilo estambre color verde oscuro.
- Un par de ojos de seguridad.
- Una aguja crochet N.º 1.
- Hilo pabilo color marrón claro y amarillo.
- 01 círculo de fieltro verde.
- Relleno sintético.
Abbreviations//Abreviaciones:
Ch: chain(s).
mp: half point.
mpa: half high point.
aum: increases.
dism: decrease.
pa: high point.
pr: slipped stitch.
Ch: cadena(s).
mp: medio punto.
mpa: medio punto alto.
aum: aumento.
dism: disminución.
pa: punto alto.
pr: punto deslizado.
Process//Proceso:
Turtle 🐢//Tortuga 🐢:
Head//Cabeza:
- v1: make magic ring, 06 mp, continue knitting in a spiral pattern, pull ring and close.
- v2: cast on each stitch of the previous row (12), make an increase (2mp).
- v3: Then knit 2mp, mp, 2mp, 2mp, mp, repeat sequence all the way around.
- v4 : Knit mp in each stitch of the previous row.
- v5 to v10: repeat v4.
- Insert the safety eyes.
- And fill in.
- v11: make a dism, 1mp, 1mp, 1mp, 1mp, dism, repeat sequence.
- v12: dism, 1mp, 1 dism, 1mp, repeat sequence.
- v13: Then make a dec all the way around. Close, knot and hide yarn.
- v1: hacer anillo mágico, 06 mp, seguir tejiendo en forma espiral, halar anillo y cerrar.
- v2: Hacer aum(2mp) en cada punto de la vuelta anterior (12)
- v3: Luego hacer 2mp, mp, 2mp, mp, repetir secuencia toda la vuelta.
- v4 : Hacer mp en cada punto de la vuelta anterior .
- v5 hasta v10: repetir v4.
- Se inserta los ojos de seguridad.
- Y se rellena.
- v11: Hacer una dism, 1mp, 1mp, 1mp, dism, repetir secuencia.
- v12: dism, 1mp, 1 dism, 1mp, repetir secencia
- v13: Luego hacer dism toda la vuelta. Se cierra, se anuda y oculta hilo.
Fins//Aletas (04):
- v1: make magic ring, 06 mp, follow spiral knit, pull ring and close.
- v2: make increase (2mp) in each stitch of the previous row (12).
- v3: then make 2mp, mp, 2mp, 2mp, mp, repeat sequence all the way around.
- v4: make 6mp, aum(2mp), 6mp, aum(2mp) repeat sequence.
- v5: finish with 1mp all the way around, close.
- Fold the piece and close with pr the necessary stitches, knot, cut, and hide yarn.
- v1: hacer anillo mágico, 06 mp, segui tejido espiral, halar anillo y cerrar.
- v2: Hacer aum(2mp) en cada punto de la vuelta anterior (12)
- v3: Luego hacer 2mp, mp, 2mp, mp, repetir secuencia toda la vuelta.
- v4: hacer 6mp, aum(2mp), 6mp, aum(2mp) repetir secuencia.
- v5: terminar con 1mp toda la vuelta cerrar.
- Se dobla la pieza y cerrar con pr los puntos necesario, anudar, cortar, y ocultar hilo.

- v3: Then make 2mp, mp, 2mp, 2mp, mp, repeat sequence all the way around.
- Fold the piece over and close with pr. knot, cut, and hide yarn.
- v1: hacer anillo mágico, 06 mp, segui tejido espiral, halar anillo y cerrar.
- v2: Hacer aum(2mp) en cada punto de la vuelta anterior (12)
- v3: Luego hacer 2mp, mp, 2mp, mp, repetir secuencia toda la vuelta.
- Se dobla la pieza y se cierra con pr. anudar, cortar, y ocultar hilo

- v8,v9,v10,v11: Make mp all the way around.
- v12: dism, 1mp,1mp,1mp,1mp, dism, 1mp,1mp,1mp, 1mp, repeat sequence.
- v13: dism, 1mp, dism, 1mp, repeat sequence until the lap is covered.
- v14: dism, 1mp, 1mp, 1mp, dism, 1mp, 1mp, repeat sequence until lap is covered.
- v15: dism, 1mp, 1mp, 1mp, dism, 1mp, 1mp, repeat sequence until lap is covered.
- Fill in.
- v16: dism, dism, dism, dism, knot and cut yarn leaving more than 30cm of yarn.
- v1: hacer anillo mágico, 06 mp, seguir el tejido en espiral, halar anillo y cerrar.
- v2: Hacer aum(2mp) en cada punto de la vuelta anterior (12)

- Rellenar.
- v16: dism,dism, dism, dism, anudar y cortar hilo dejando mas de 30cm de hilo.
Sunflower🌻//Girasol🌻 :
- Take the shell by the brown part, insert the yellow yarn where you notice the intersection of colors, there pull the yellow yarn and make a mp.
- Then make 3chs, pa, (pad, 2 chs (picot)pad), pa, 2ch, pr, repeat sequence until all stitches and pr are covered.
- Se toma el caparazón por la parte marrón, insertar el hilo color amarillo donde se note la intersección de colores, alli se hala el hilo color amarillo y hacer un mp.
- Luego hacer 3chs, pa, (pad, 2 chs (picot)pad), pa, 2ch, pr, repetir secuencia hasta cubrir todo los puntos y pr.
Assembly//Ensamblado:
- Take the shell and sew the head with the excess thread, then sew the 04 fins and the tail.
Then glue a circle of green felt with liquid silicone to hide imperfections.
- Se toma el caparazón y se cose la cabeza con el hilo sobrante, luego se cosen las 04 aletas y la cola.
Después se pega un círculo de fieltro color verde con silicona líquida, para ocultar imperfecciones.
... And ready the turtle 🐢 and the sunflower 🌻 amigurumi - crochet.
Very happy to finish the challenge of this turtle - sunflower, as it was not so easy to make, because I am not an expert in amigurumi; however, I made it even though it is difficult to apply the new amigurumi techniques.
This piece can serve as a pincushion, or a cute keychain, also a pendant for the fridge or simply an ornament on the table.
Also, it is ideal as a gift for a loved one who likes turtles as pets and for sunflower flower lovers in their gardens.

Muy feliz de terminar el reto de esta tortuga - girasol, ya que no fue tan fácil de hacer, porque no soy experta en amigurumi; sin embargo, la hice a pesar de que es difícil aplicar las nuevas técnicas de los amigurumis.
Esta pieza realizada puede servir de alfiletero, o un lindo llavero, también un colgante para la nevera o simplemente un adorno en la mesa.
