Sie sind in Büchern und Zeitschriften erhältlich, können im Internet heruntergeladen oder werden von Mensch zu Mensch weitergegeben.
There is a myriad of patterns for knitters and crocheters for all kind of projects, from useful (but never boring) socks to lovely shawls, from children's toys to decorations. They are available in books and magazines, online or directly from person to person.
Hier ist die Anleitung dieser Woche - mal wieder etwas Gehäkeltes :) Es ist einerseits dekorativ, andererseits auch nützlich und ich finde, es sind die schönsten Dinge, wo sich dies beides verbindet.
Let's start with the pattern of this week - it's something crocheted again :) On the one hand it is decorative, on the other hand it is useful and I think it's the most beautiful things, where both are combined.

Als Material dafür nimmt man am besten Baumwolle oder Polyacryl oder eine Mischung aus beiden. In der Anleitung ist Acryl für die Mitte und Baumwolle für die Außenseiten angegeben, ich weiß nicht, ob das sein muss. Vielleicht schrubben die Knubbel in der Mitte besser, wenn sie aus Acryl sind?
The best material to use is cotton or polyacrylic or a mixture of both. The pattern says acrylic for the middle and cotton for the outside, I don't know if this is necessary. Maybe the knobs in the middle scrub better if they are made of acrylic?
Die Anleitung an sich ist nicht schwierig, wer schon einmal Granny Squares oder Blüten oder ähnliches gehäkelt hat, der weiß wie das funktioniert. Einzige Schwierigkeit hier sind vielleicht diese Knubbel, es gibt aber ein extra Tutorial. Die Anleitung ist ausgeschrieben mit US Häkelbegriffen.
The pattern itself is not difficult, if you have ever crocheted Granny Squares or flowers or something similar, you basically already know how to do it. The only difficulty here might be these "bubble" stitches, but there is an extra tutorial for them. The pattern is written out with US crochet terms.

Ich sehe auch oft Anleitungen wo ich nur staune - so schön, so interessant konstruiert. Aber oft Kaufanleitungen oder nichts, was ich nacharbeiten würde oder anderen empfehlen, weil zu kompliziert. Egal, ihr bekommt jetzt jede Woche solch eine Anleitung zu sehen, damit auch ihr staunen und bewundern könnt!
I also often see instructions where I am stunned - so beautiful, so well-designed. But often these are paid patterns or nothing that I would knit or recommend to others because it is too complicated. Anyway, now you get to see such a design every week, so that you too can marvel and admire!
Vor über 40 Jahren dachte sich eine Strickdesignerin (Influencer würde man sie heute vielleicht auch nennen) sich eine neue Art aus zum Stricken einer Strickjacke. Die Anleitung für eine Babyjacke, die Elizabeth Zimmermann 1968 veröffentlichte, wurde ein Hit. Bei Ravelry wurden bis heute 28787 gestrickte Jacken eingetragen.

Und das nicht nur, weil es eine Babyjacke ist. Klar, die sind beliebt, weil sie schnell gestrickt sind. Außerdem sind sie zu einem schönen Anlass, und da wollen viele ihre eigenen oder anderer Leute Kinder und Enkelkinder bestricken. Zum Erfolg trug aber die Art und Weise bei, wie die Jacke gestrickt wird. Erst einmal: ganz einfach, weil kraus rechts. Aber dazu kommt: diese Jacke wird anders gestrickt als normale Jacken. Sie wird nicht in Teilen gestrickt der von oben gestrickt im Raglan-Stil oder mit Rundpasse. Und deswegen lüfte ich auch das Geheimnis nicht, wie sie gestrickt wird - nur soviel: zum Schluss werden nur die Schulternähte geschlossen!
And not just because it's a baby jacket. Sure, these are popular because they're fast knits. They are also made for a nice occasion, and many people want to knit for their own or other people's children and grandchildren. But the way the jacket is knitted contributed to the success. First of all: very simple, because it is in garter stitch. But in addition: this jacket is knitted differently than normal jackets. It is not knitted in parts, or top-down in raglan style or with a round yoke. And that's why I won't reveal the secret of how it is knitted - just this: in the end, only the shoulder seams are sewn!

Es wird vermutlich niemanden überraschen, dass ich diese Jacke auch schon seit langem auf meiner Liste habe und sie selber stricken möchte. Zufälligerweise ist eine Bekannte von mir schwanger... im kalten und feuchten Irland - da ist eine kuschelige Strickjacke bitter nötig!
It will probably not surprise anyone that I have had this jacket on my list for a long time and would like to knit it myself. What a coincidence that a friend of mine is pregnant... in cold and wet Ireland - a cozy cardigan for the baby is absolutely necessary!
