Good morning everyone, I'm here again to share with you this beautiful dress I made last night, it was my first trial on this type of neck, though I've done something similar which makes it very easy for me.
I fell in love with the output probably because of the materials being stripes.
Will be sharing with you how I made this beautiful outfit especially how I fixed the neck.
MATERIALS USED
- Shirt material (stripe)
- Thread
- Black material
- Hair stay
CUTTING AND SEWING PROCESS
After following normal process of cutting kaftan then I trimmed the front to the Shape I want. I did that to get the accurate neck measurement.
After I trimmed it, then I started my sewing folding the allowances added to the Lengths and I joined the shoulders.
Thereafter I cut a pieces, applied hair stay, folded it into two, then I sew round the neck.
I did a fake chest pocket using black material and also added black material to the sleeve tip
After that I joined the sleeve, close the body and put side pockets
