Last week was really stressful for me, with two kids, the house choice and the sewing work, so I was really tried because one of my client gave me her family clothes including her personal own, it's her child dedication wear so she decided to sew for her children also, they fixed the dedication ceremony yesterday which was first Sunday but her husband postponed it and fixed it this second Sunday so I was so excited because I was really tired and I wanted to rest in the weekend, so this my client with this beautiful Ankara fabric.
She told me that she wanted to use it on Saturday, hmmm..i was not surprised because some of this oir client likes urgent work, she want to use the clothe on Saturday and she brought it on Friday imagine, well i collected it because she's my best client, so I didn't have much time, after giving my firls food i start the work.
Since it was a flair gown and gathers atthe down hem, so i folded the fabric using 360 flair and i cut it out.
After cutting it out i quickly went and cut out the front and back facing, so for the sleeves i wanted to use black material because the fabric wasn't enough for me to use, i then cut out the black.
After sewing the black place it on the fabric and checked and i noticed it too off then i picked the fabric pieces and joined then i used it for the sleeves, i pinned it on the main point of the dress and placed the facing ontop so i sew it together with the facing and it out.
I turned the both front and the back neck of the dress then i joined the body front and back together.
After joining the boday together i now cut out the down gathers part, it took me so much time before i succeeded because the fabric wasn't enough i joined some part and i gathered ot carefully so it will not cut.
After making the gathers i joined it on the upper main part but i firstly bend the down hem of the gathers part before i joined.
So here is the outcome of it.
It was so stressful, sewing work is not an easy work but some of our client think is easy, giving me this work i told her thatbis too urgent and I don't think will be able to meet up and she said is beey easy nothing is there, but now I'm so excited that i didn't disappoint her, it came out so nice and beautiful, she loves it and she was so excited.
