Hello Needleworkers and Hivers all around the world!!
I was out for several days since I had visited my family (grandma, parents, sisters, brothers etc.) and I didn't have so much time for internet! So, the time passed and I am back in Naousa, but....when I was in Ioannina, I did some creative sewing there!
Here, I present you one of my alterations!!
One morning, when I was sitting on my chair and eating my breakfast, my sister, Athina, came to me and she said: " My top has a hole from ironing, what can you do about that???" And she also brought me a linen pair of pants that they have tore up... And she also wanted for the top to be longer!
So, at first, I thought of doing a creative patch behind the iron and lenthen the blouse but then, I decided to make it look like one homogenous cloth...so as you can see, I cut from the upper top and I added the linen part till the bottom of the front..! I pinned them first to see where I wanted...
and then I turned them in the opposite and Ι stitched them loosely!
I did it back and forth because I added linen both fornt and back side of the top
I sewed them with the sewing machine..but..
...still I hadnt no idea of what to do with ironing blouse and while I was watching the blouse I noticed the oak leaves and I thought..."Why not??" so...
...I draw with a pencil something and then I handstitched it... and ....
This is it!!!! An oak leave and the linen pants together in a top blouse with leaves!!
And in the back I used a wide stripe to be opaque there!!
How do you think of my sewing alteration?? I hope you like it!! Tell me your comments and show me your love!!
