I have started this project at the beginning of my amigurumi lessons. Some how it got delayed day by day. After a while I found two legs that have been crocheted separately, but…. I couldn’t remember which hook I used for it. It was there that long!
Because of this hook size incident, I decided to crochet another bunny using 2.00mm hook that I use always. So I can find the size of the hook I forgot, leaving behind those two legs.
It didn’t take much longer to find what I wanted. After comparing the legs, I found I have used 3.00mm hook before.
Then I started working on both bunnies. Since there will be two bunnies, I decided one to be a girl and other to be a boy.
Another reason other than size problem is to compare the same pattern using two different hook sizes.
The pattern I used is given by our instructor of the amigurumi class. I cannot share it because she owns that one.
I was very excited to see the outcome of this bunny couple. If I complete one and then work on other one, I knew I wouldn’t see both of them very soon. That’s why I decided to work on them parallelly.
After crocheting legs, combining and comparisons then I had to complete the body of the both bunnies. Therefore, I thought to give them a frock and a shirt. I could have make them completely white, but this is better than that as I guess.
I have used the same body pattern as my instructor gave and changed colors of the body to make small strips of colors. And there were little ad-ons by my side also.
Little by little I completed legs, body, hands, ears and heads. Then the last part was to fill and assemble.
As always, I like to sew the eyes and ears because it is better for kid’s use. Finally there are two cutes bunnies for us.
