It's two weeks since i started my crotchet journey, I kept tasking myself to do better on daily basis. My growth was a bit rapid and thanks to technology. I dedicated my time to watching several YouTube videos that could be of help. Now I know there are several types of crotchet, we have single, half double, double, and trebble among many other. These are the ones I know for now through the help of these videos. As a beginner, I started on single crotchet with a 1.0mm hook. It was a long journey but I never gave up. With that as a beginner, I was able to make the chains, make a little crotchet necklace for myself but I wanted more.
I dedicated my weekends to learn as I have no one to take me through physical class. I wanted to learn half double crotchet to make headband for my nine year old baby sister. After several training, I decided to give it a trial but with another hook of 3.0mm. At first I made quite lots of mistakes but I believed strongly in myself and that gave me the strength to continue. I started on Monday and completed it on Tuesday giving it my all amidst school stress. While knitting the headband, I made a mistake which took a new turn and gave it a new look and design then I decided to continue in that way and that gave the headband a beautiful shape. My joy know no bound, I was so proud of myself and how fat I've come.
Consistency is one of the keys to success, it pays a lot and that's what helped me in this journey. It seems difficult at first but for me, giving up was not my last resort. I wanted to keep trying until I made something reasonable out of it which I did in the long run. While making this headband, I losed it hundred times and at a point I was getting tired and frustrated but my friend and my sister was encouraging me with different sweet words. Having people around you that cares and motivates you is the best gift ever. If i had given up earlier, I wouldn't be able to get here but dedication and consistency I was able to push forward it all.
Now that I know how to make a half double crotchet, I'm definitely going to start making more amazing and beautiful objects. All I have to do is find a quality time amidst my tight schedule. Going through school stress hasn't been easy but still find time to learn my crotchet. I want to be the best at learning crotcheting and remain dedicated to it till I become a professional in the field. My journey has been amazing and your lovely comments had kept me going.
