Hello hive
It's good to return; it's a new week, and I'm all about possibilities. When it comes to achieving my set goals and aims, you can call me a stubborn achiever. I began my crotchet journey a week ago amidst a tight school schedule, but I'm sure not to give up so soon and never give up at all. I've been trying my best all throughout last week to get a hand on it and I must say it was a tough one. I haven't gotten the opportunity for physical training as everyone I talked with was busy with one or two things, which left me with no option but to be a teacher as well as a student.
Thanks to technology, I was not left alone, I got YouTube videos to help me in the journey of a treasure hunt. Yes, crotcheting was a treasure that I was supposed to hold dearly but which I lost nonchalantly. All the same, I'm glad I found it back and it's never too late to start learning. Here is an update on how far I have come in my crocheting journey. This is something I have never done before, so my learning was a bit slow, but I kept saying to myself, "Slow and steady wins the race"πππ that kept me going, and I'm proud of how far I've come.
It took me two days to learn how to knit a chain, which is the basis of any crotcheting. This is the first step in which every other will be built. I had to try countless times before finally learning how to make a chain. I repeated that until I knew, I could do it without supervision. My first trial was rough, very rough, but I never let that discourage me, just like I said, I am a stubborn achiever. After learning how to knit a chain, I decided to proceed to learn how to build on the chain and remember that I am the teacher and also the student.
If I could make the chain, I could build on it, too; I began teaching myself gradually, making several mistakes along the way. Losing the ones I've done and repeating them all over again just to get a good one even though not perfect. Well, I'm not in a rush; I'm still a beginner, which means I will still make more mistakes. Surrounding yourself with people who encourage you to move on even in the face of challenges is one of the best feelings in the world. So I made myself a necklace, I remembered I have a gown that goes well with the color of yarn I'm using so I decided to make a necklace with my yarn.
My sister and my friend are my biggest fans; they are always there to cheer me up, giving me a heads-up and the motivation I need. Likewise, my mentor, , is always my number-one go-to person when I encounter a challenge. Even when I thought I had not done well, she was always happy with words of encouragement that wouldn't make me give up even when I wanted to. Likewise, my hive family, your lovely comments keep me going; I want to see more of them, so I will continue to update you on my crocheting journey. Here is how far I have come. I hope you can say I'm tryingππππ. I will be back again, bye for nowπππ
