hello everyone. I'm and I'm so happy to be hear. This is my first time to post in this amazing community. so I'm a fashion designer and today I will be sharing with you guys how I made this ankara shirt and trouser for my client.
this is the Ankara rapper I'm using to sew the shirt and trouser for this little baby.the rapper is actually beautiful.
actually is for a small baby face of all these are the measurement in which I used to draft this cutting
shoulder 9
chest 22
length 15
hand length 6
waist 17
trouser length 11
this is a drafting of the shirt I actually increase some inches because children usually grow faster. this drafting is just for the front part.
The back part they are almost the same but the back part is 3 inches longer than the front if you observe it very well you will see the 3 inches I add in the back part .
what I just did is I fold the back part across the front part in other to draft my neck and the shoulder line. after that I will make an ironing to make the overlapping Straight.
the drafting of the hand is 6 inches length how to get my weight, I divide the chess measurement by 4 to get my weight and so I connect it to give me the hand shape.
this black material is call flap, and is what I'm using for the style. and also the long Ankara material I fold here is what I'm using to round the neck. what I need to do is just to fix it across the neck and stitch on over
the first step is to join the shoulder of the back and front together as you can see once I join it you will start to understand the process.
after I joined them together I made an ironing look at what it look like. I believe you have start understanding the process.
the next thing, is to fix the neck round and also to put the black material across the middle of the cloth. if you observe you will think there is a gathering across the clothes but just ironing can fix it all.
can you see it now when I iron it very well so this is the hand what I need to do is to stitch the hand on the shirt after that I will stitch the shape all over.
once I'm done stitching the shape I will made an iron to do the finishing.
For the trouser it is one of the simplest way of sewing it because it's just for a small boy.
so this is the drafting of the front part the same thing the front part is smaller than the big part so there is a increase of 3 inches in the back part.
after the way of sewing is very simple this is the back and the front. what I need to do is just to stitch them separately stitch the back and the front together, and also stitch the other back and the front together.
this is the only thing I'm putting in the trouser that's rubber I'm going to put it around the waist.
after this this I'm to stitch the shape and make an ironing for the finishing.
The shape is the last thing to stitch and that's all for the for the trouser.
And that's all for the sewing.
And this is what I've got after all
