Good Monday to all our creative community!!! I hope this week has been productive for you and that you are doing well!
Yes Yes!!! I finally finished knitting my warm hat! 💃💃💃 And very timely! No, not because I'm going to wear it in the summer. 😁 But in our intense heat, it is difficult to knit warm winter clothes.
I finished the last step of knitting pretty quickly. I had to knit a few centimeters with blue yarn.
The most difficult thing at the final stage of knitting this hat was the gradual reduction of the loops to the crown. This knitting pattern is that any shortening of the loops breaks it.
I tried to photograph it for you. The photo shows that between the two rhombuses a space is formed which should not be patterned. The fact is that every 4 loops participate in the pattern. But with the reduction, 3 or 2 remains, which can no longer create this pattern.
I tried to shorten the loops so that the distortion of the knitting pattern was not very noticeable. But I wasn't very good at it.
I think for such knitting patterns, cutting the loops at the end of the work is not very suitable. Here it is better to simply collect all the loops on a thread of yarn at the crown and pull them together. Then the pattern will not break throughout the entire knitting of the fabric. But my yarn is too thick for this, so I decided to cut the loops anyway. I reduced them by knitting together every 10th loop of the front row.
When the loops on the canvas became a little less, I decided to transfer the loops to the thread of yarn.
This is not a difficult process at all, so I had the opportunity to work and enjoy the sea.
Yes, as usual, over the past two months on the weekend I have been with my husband at sea.
All loops have already been transferred from the knitting needles to the thread of yarn.
Now I will pull them together.
And the very last touch is to connect the canvas at the back. Voila!!!! My hat is ready!!! 💃💃💃
To be honest, I can't even believe I finished it. 💃💃💃 It so happened that I knitted this for quite a long time. But once again I was convinced that even if you work quite a bit - 20-30 minutes - then the work will gradually approach its completion! 😀
It remains to be seen how this hat looks on me! 🙈
I think it's pretty good!!! 🤩 What do you say, dear ones? 😀

Take care of yourself and be healthy!!
