The fabric is cabote, could also be used as canvas amongst other things. You have a good eye on spotting things :) It's raw cotton that has not been bleached, so I use it a lot for my natural dyeing projects (the more natural the fabric, the better it bonds with the color) and I love the natural look it has, I find it calming :)
