Good day my amazing people on the hive blockchain.is still your girl veemahfashion and just like passion strives deeply in the mind of a person,i have come this moment to also share my own little passion sense about fashion, and to appreciate God for how he has brought me in the fashion world.
Yeah so today I want to share my little knowledge on how i made this beautiful suit outfit with a plazza.
I achieved this work with the following working tools;
--- my tape roll
--- my scissors
--- tailors chalk
--- my measurements book
- my curve ruler
--- the fabric am working with.
I first of all cut the long skirt before I cut the top. So for the skirt,i folded my fabric into four places because I want to cut both the front and the back together. So i folded it leaving one point five inches zippa allowance at the back.
After folding,i took the full lengths measurements of the skirt and with my tape roll i removed two inches at the top first for my waist band and from there I took the full length measurement.
Now from where I subtracted two, becomes my waist line, now removing two inches again at the top ,i mark nine inches for the hip and from there also, I measured seventeen inches(17") that's where the hip curve will stop before taking it straight down because is a fitted long straight skirt.
After that you move to the sewing machine and sew.you sew your darts for both the front and the back using your burst pan measurement divided by two. After that, you join the back piece leaving about eight inches for the zipper.you fix the zip, join both sides, fold th the down with the two inches allowance you added and then measure round your waist and add just one inch.
After that, you add a gum stay to the band you already cut down.and then sew it all round the waist line and the skirt is ready.
So guys here is the finished work and is beautiful too.
Also for the top of this dress, is a suit jacket so i folded my fabric into two, because when you want to cut a suit jacket you must first of all cut the back before the front.
So i took the full length of the jacket which is twenty-five inches (25") ,at the top i took the shoulder measurement divided by two and mark,i came down by one inch for shoulder slope from there i mark the armhole nine inches.i went back to the top and mark the neck width of three inches and the neck depth of three inches.
Now using my clients burst span measurements divided by two, which is four inches i mark it down from one inch below the burst point down to the hip line.
I also came in by half inch to make my armhole curve and because is a princess dart am making,i divided what i have at the armhole by two and connected it back to the four inches dart to make the princess dart.
After this,i input the waist measurement divided by four plus one point five inches allowance,i also did same for the hip and then use my curve ruler to connect the points down and cut it out.
Now for the front piece,i folded my fabric leaving five inches at the top and four inches at the side. I mark my shoulder divided by two, input my neck width and my neck depth of three inches
You take the full length measurements of twenty-five inches, input all the vertical measurements and also all the round circumference divided by two plus one point five inches allowance.
Now you will measure what you have at the back neckline round, whatever you have, you will mark it at the top of that front neckline, you Will out by half inch and blend it back into the line.
Now at the side where you leave four inches, at the waist line, you will rule it out and come up by two inches for your breakpoint.and mark and then measure one inch out and from there draw a slanted line to meet with the front neck width and at the neck depth, you rule out the line out ,at that point you measure two inches up and mark and with your curve ruler you rule from there to that breakpoint you already mark.and at the top you connect the lines and also curve it using your curve ruler for your collar.
You cross-check your markings and if their correct, you now cut them out.and move over to your sewing machine.
Now for the sleeve, which is a long sleeve,so i cut the length out.after folding my fabric into four which is for the two hands.i divided the round armhole by two giving me nine inches,i added one inch allowance to it making it ten inches (10"), at the open side not the folded edge,i measure four inches down for my cap height and from there i made a slanted curve to the top.i measure round my elbow , divide it by two and marki also measure my round my wrist, divide by two with one inch allowance and mark.
Then now connect all the points with a straight ruler. And cut it out.
So guys at the end of the whole thing,i was able to bit my chest and say i did it.because it came out beautiful.
