Hello lovelies, how are we all doing? hope everyone is having a great time.is still your girl veemahfashion.and am the CEO veemahfashion world.
Today i want to share with us my little knowledge on how made this beautiful bubu gown. i used three and half inches of ankara
fabric to achieve this.
These are the items needed for the cutting of this cloth.
---- your tape roll
---- your scissors
---- your Tailor's chalk
---- your ruler
---- your measurement book
---- the fabric you want to cut.
Having known this, let's go to cutting table.
Fold your fabric into four , place your tape at the top and mark the full length your working with.
From the folded edge, take your shoulder measurement divided by two and mark. from where you mark, you measure between twelve to fifteen inches for the sleeve.
Go back to the folded edge and mark your neck width of three and half inches and neck depth of one inch for the back.
Remember to cut out the back neckline first before cutting the front. you also measure for the front width is three and half and depth is nine inches. and is a V neckline
so you make use of your ruler while curving the V neckline.
Remember to measure between twelve to fifteen inches for the sleeve and is not static.
This totally depends on how big or plenty your fabric is. you then come down by one inch for the shoulder slope mark it and from there you measure down your sleeve opening which is usually between ten to fifteen inches.is totally optional.
After that, you start taking your vertical measurements which is from shoulder to burst point (11"), shoulder to waist line (18"), shoulder hip line(25").
Note that, this is bubu gown,so is not going to be fitted,so you have to add at least three to five inches (3-5")allowance. and whatever you have at the hip line, you will take it down to the hem line and mark.
At this point, you will use your ruler and connect all the points and carefully go through your works and your measurements again and if their are okay you can now cut it out.
So here is the finished work of this project guys.it came out so beautiful.
