Hello, hello! Hive friends, I hoe you are all happy and well!
Today,I will be sharing with you this masterpiece, kidding, the best coin purse I ever done so far.
So I got so bored and the lessons I have been studying makes no sense at all, I rested my brain and unwinded all the stress that I built in pressuring myself with.
Good for me I have brought half of my yarn supplies at work; to be honest, yarns occupied my drawers which is supplies to contain important things related to work. and all I did was being sorry I got addicted to crochet, lols!
I already did a purse once but I only did it with a single crochet using an indophil acrylic yarn and it didn't look as good as I was expecting given I was suing a different yarn than the tutorial does; and oh , by the way the admin of my Facebook group made this tutorial and can be found in YouTube.
But for this project, I used 8ply polyester thread, clasp and a 2.5mm crochet hook. Polyester threads are shiny and it looks very lovely in projects like this.
I made a base smaller than the clasp's opening and made two rows of continuous single crochet and layered it with an alternate extended single crochet thus the lovely texture in the purse.
The stitch makes the project stiff and it hurts my fingers a lot plus I just recently came back in crocheting. I was slower this time so I am a bit slower ad making the 3-inch high body of the purse felt like forever to make.
Honestly, It took me two days in between my work to finish and it got me inspired to get back crocheting yet the fear of not having sales of my handiworks never left me.
Finishing the body is a triumph and here comes the tricky part, attaching the clasp.
Clasp attaching take a lot more patience than making the body; I had trouble in getting the centers at the right place,oh and the corners too. Then I grabbed the same thread and stitched the clasp in place which is also challenging to do especially on the corners of the clasp but I am glad I made it and I love my work .
Look!
I have taken several photos of my obra maestra in different angles and back ground.
I still have a few clasps left and I hope I can make some more the purse and sell them soon.
What do you think of my project? Do you like it? Do you think it will be sold?
This will be all for today, keep safe and happy Hiving!
