Let's crochet a mini-bag

I had the idea of making a bag but I didn't have the guts or maybe I should say I had the feeling that it wouldn't come out well, so I decided to start with making a mini bag before starting the actual bag, I felt like if I get the mini bag correctly I should be able to get the mean bag itself, so here it is.

Materials used

Crochet needle
Scissors

I started with making a slip knot and chain of twelve, then inside each stitch, I made half double crochet till I got to the last stitch and I made two half double crochet inside, then I continued till I got to the final stitch of the other edge and I made a slip stitch to join the edges.

For the second row, I made a chain of one and continued making a single half-double crochet inside each stitch till I got to the end of row two and joined the edges with a slip stitch. So I continued the same process till my mini bag got to my desired size and length then I realized I needed to make it a little fancy by adding another color, and guess what!! I did, it was giving me what I wanted.

When it got to the size I wanted I decided to end by making the hand of the bag cause I can't hold a bag that doesn't have a hand it will be like something else entirely. So from where I stopped, I made a slip stitch in the next two stitches and made a chain of twelve, then I joined the chain to the other side of the bag by making a slip stitch to join the hand to the main bag so it can be called a handbag.

After making the first hand, I continued making a single crochet till I got to the other side of the bag and it was time to create the other hand, so I did the same thing as I did for the first one, I ensured the length of the bag hand was equal cause I wouldn't want something that would be looking like its disfigured hehe!! So I took my time in that process and it came out reflecting on all the effort I put into it.

In the last step, I made half double crochet inside the stitch at the hand of the bag, so it wouldn't look tiny, then after a few stitches, I was done with my mini bag. I'm glad it came out as expected, right now I can say that I'm fully prepared to start the big one which I can carry about because I love it when people carry their handmade stuff in their hands and just show it off, I love that feeling of representing your brand yourself, it's intriguing.
