Para cortar las piezas usé una camisa como patrón, coloqué sobre la tela doblada la camisa y corté primero la pieza delantera, luego la pieza trasera y para las mangas también use la camisa para guiarme, para la capa de la manga que va fruncido corte una tira con un lado recto y el otro ovalado para que quedé el efecto que sobresale de la manga.

To cut the pieces, I used a shirt as a pattern. I placed the shirt on the folded fabric and cut the front piece first, then the back piece. I also used the shirt as a guide for the sleeves. For the gathered sleeve cap, I cut a strip with one straight side and the other oval so that it would stick out from the sleeve.

Comencé el trabajo de coser y primero uni los hombros enfrentando los derechos de la pieza trasera y delantera, luego con mucha paciencia hice la costura que le da una especie de fruncido a la orilla de la manga, está la hago con puntada de ojal y voy cosiendo la orilla poco a poco mientras voy estirando la tela para que haga el efecto de fruncido.

Proseguí con colocar el primer corte de la manga sobre la sisa sujetando con alfileres y haciendo pequeños dobleces para que se viera mucho más fruncido y pomposo, repetí el proceso en las dos mangas y si ven en las imágenes este primer corte no cubre totalmente la sisa si no que llega un poco más allá de la mitad, ahora coloqué la manga normales a la sisa y cosí con costura recta y zigzag, por último uní los costados de la blusa para cerrarla.

I began the sewing process by first joining the shoulders, matching the right sides of the back and front pieces. Then, with a lot of patience, I sewed the seam that gives the sleeve edge a kind of gather. I did this with a buttonhole stitch, sewing the edge little by little while stretching the fabric to create the gathered effect.

I continued by placing the first cut of the sleeve on the armhole, pinning it in place and making small folds to make it look much more gathered and puffy. I repeated the process on both sleeves. If you look at the pictures, you can see that this first cut does not completely cover the armhole, but goes a little beyond the middle. Now I placed the normal sleeve on the armhole and sewed it with a straight and zigzag stitch. Finally, I joined the sides of the blouse to close it.

Por último pero no menos importante coloqué el cuello con un bies de 3 cm de ancho y cosí en todo el contorno del cuello para luego hacer la costura hacia dentro y pasar una costura recta para rematar, la orilla de la blusa también la cosí haciendo un dobladillo sencillo y pasé doble costura para un mejor acabado. Last but not least, I placed the collar with a 3 cm wide bias binding and sewed around the entire neckline, then turned the seam inward and sewed a straight stitch to finish it off.
