Lo primero fué extender la tela doblada y colocar una camisa que me servirá como patrón para cortar las piezas, primero corté la pieza trasera y luego la pieza delantera, comencé a coser enfrentando los derechos de las dos piezas y cosí los hombros y los costados de la camisa todo con costura recta y zigzag para reforzar, luego hice la costura de fruncido en toda la orilla de la camisa con la puntada en ojal que es un truco que uso para que quedé con este efecto de fruncido.

The first step was to spread out the folded fabric and place a shirt on top to use as a pattern for cutting the pieces. I cut the back piece first, then the front piece. I began sewing with the right sides of the two pieces facing each other and sewed the shoulders and sides of the shirt, using straight and zigzag stitches for reinforcement. Then I made the gathering seam around the entire edge of the shirt with a buttonhole stitch, which is a trick I use to achieve this gathered effect.

Para los bies corté varias tiras de 5 cm de ancho en color rojo pues quería que los bies resaltaran de la tela y como la tela tiene detalles en rojo creo que quedaba muy bien, además de los bien rojos también corté dos tiras de 4 cm de ancho de la misma tela estampada y dos tiras de 5 cm de ancho por 12 de alto para hacer los túneles por dónde pasarían las tiras, cosí las tiras más pequeñas en la parte interna de la camisa, colocando una de cada lado y cosí tres costuras rectas dejando 1,5 cm de distancia y luego de coser con la ayuda de un imperdible pasé la tira por los canales y el resultado es un lindo detalle de fruncido en la parte delantera de la camisa.

For the bias tape, I cut several 5 cm wide strips in red because I wanted the bias tape to stand out from the fabric, and since the fabric has red details, I thought it would look great. In addition to the red bias tape, I also cut two 4 cm wide strips from the same patterned fabric and two 5 cm wide by 12 cm high strips to make the tunnels through which the strips would pass. I sewed the smaller strips to the inside of the shirt, placing one on each side, and sewed three straight seams 1.5 cm apart. After sewing, I used a safety pin to pull the strip through the channels, resulting in a nice gathered detail on the front of the shirt.

Por último cosí los bies en las mangas y cuello, doblé la tira de tela y sujeté con alfileres para luego coser en el borde del cuello y sisas y luego pisé la la unión con una costura recta, y así estaría quedando el resultado final de esta linda camisa. Finally, I sewed the bias tape onto the sleeves and collar, folded the strip of fabric and pinned it in place, then sewed it onto the edge of the collar and armholes.
