Kimetsu no Yaiba is, without a doubt, one of the most famous anime series at the moment. This shonen has a large number of fans who are attracted by its fights, characters, but above all for its EXCELLENT animation. That is why, when a new season was announced, many of us waited with great expectations for the spring premiere season to enjoy, once again, the adventures of the demon hunters.

This third season covers the arc of the village of the blacksmiths and as you can imagine, all the action takes place in that place, which is one of the best kept secrets of the demon hunters' association, due to the crucial importance they have for the organization. Tanjiro arrives at this place to repair his sword and what begins as a quiet and relaxing visit, ends up becoming a mission with great dangers and surprises.
In addition to having Tanjiro and Nezuko as protagonists, they also bring back Genya, Tanjiro's former partner in the selection test and introduce two new pillars: Muichito Tokito, the pillar of wind and Mitsuri Kanroji, the pillar of love, who are also fortuitously repairing their swords and will be of great help to stop moons 4 and 5 who have decided to attack the village in search of information that will help them get rid of the demon hunters.
This arc has 11 episodes and I think that of all those that the anime has had so far, it has been the one that I liked the least, I'm not saying it's completely bad, but it did get to bore me on many occasions. Maybe last season, with its two fantastic arcs and pillars, set a very high precedent, but both the fights and the story seemed quite simplistic to me, what I found most interesting about the fights was the moon splitting into several demons, until the end came and it ended up being yet another disappointment.
I can't describe how boring I found the fight between Tokito and Gyokko, I can understand that whole vibe of measuring the enemy's ability or whatever Tokito wanted to apply, but that made a fight that could have been spectacular due to the abilities of both, end up feeling unnecessarily long and tiresome. The only thing that I liked about this side of the story was Gyokko's design, a complete shot of a character, spectacular. Maybe that's why I was so annoyed that their fight was so unexciting, plus they completely lost me with that horrendous animation they made their fish with.
While Tokito was wasting his time by not taking the enemy in front of him seriously. Tanjiro, Nezuko and Genya faced Hantegu, a moon with the ability to split into several demons, each one quite powerful, which put our heroes in great trouble. This side of the battle started out as my favorite, as the action was good, the powers of each facet of the moon were incredible. Unfortunately, there came a point where it became an absurd chase to destroy Hatengu's main body, while Kanroji made a fool of fools of himself by taking on Zohakuten, one of the demon factions, to no avail.
I found the role of the pillar of love to be the worst of the whole arc, I understand that the demon couldn't be destroyed, since it wasn't the main body, but still his fight was really bad. I don't think it was on par with other pillars we've seen in action. And it's just that besides, I found her character's backstory just plain bad, becoming a pillar to get a husband as strong as her, too ridiculous for me.
The only thing I found interesting about the character was her aesthetics during the battle, her whip-like sword is cool, too bad it wasn't well used, as she faced the horrifying wooden "dragons" (those were dragons), made in hideous 3D. They along with Gyokko's fish were in charge of spoiling an animation that until now had been spectacular, there were moments when I didn't even want to see them because of how badly they were incorporated to the rest of the animation. A real pity, since the previous arc had a beautiful animation.
About the ending, no way, of course Nezuko also had to be a chosen one in a way. I really find this kind of situations in shonen so boring and predictable sometimes, it was obvious that nothing was going to happen to her, maybe it would have been more interesting if it did happen, so that at least we could have some excitement in the arc. This season ended up being a disappointment for me in which I found practically no good details, the pillars seemed pretty regular if we compare them to Rengoku and Uzui, the fights I feel they lacked action. Come on, even the demons' stories seemed boring to me.
But what was really disappointing was to find an animation that simply did not live up to the previous season. I hope the situation will change for the next one, because even though I know I shouldn't have high expectations for the story, I would at least like to enjoy good fights and animation like the second season.
Kimetsu no Yaiba - Reseña del Arco de la aldea de los herreros
Kimetsu no Yaiba es, sin duda, una de las series de anime más famosas en este momento. Este shonen cuenta con una amplia cantidad de seguidores que se sienten atraídos por sus peleas, personajes, pero sobre todo por su EXCELENTE animación. Es por ello que, cuando se anunció una nueva temporada, muchos esperamos con grandes expectativas a que llegara la temporada de los estrenos de primavera para disfrutar, una vez más, de las aventuras de los cazadores de demonios.
Esta tercera temporada abarca el arco de la aldea de los herreros y como se pueden imaginar, toda la acción sucede en ese lugar, el cual es uno de los secretos mejor guardados de la asociación de cazadores de demonios, debido a la crucial importancia que tienen estos para la organización. Tanjiro llega a este sitio para reparar su espada y lo que comienza siendo una visita tranquila y relajante, termina convirtiéndose en una misión con grandes peligros y sorpresas.
Además de tener como protagonistas a Tanjiro y a Nezuko, también nos traen de regreso a Genya, el excompañero de prueba de selección de Tanjiro y nos presentan a dos nuevos pilares: Muichito Tokito, el pilar del viento y a Mitsuri Kanroji, el pilar del amor, quienes fortuitamente también se encuentran reparando sus espadas y serán de gran ayuda para detener a las lunas 4 y 5 las cuales han decidido atacar la aldea en busca de información que los ayude a deshacerse de los cazadores de demonios.
Este arco cuenta con 11 episodios y creo que de todos los que ha tenido el anime hasta ahora, ha sido el que menos me ha gustado, no digo que sea completamente malo, pero sí llegó a aburrirme en muchas ocasiones. Quizás la temporada pasada, con sus dos fantásticos arcos y pilares, sentaron un precedente muy alto, pero tanto las peleas como la historia me parecieron bastante simplonas, lo que me pareció más interesante de las peleas fue la luna que se dividía en varios demonios, hasta que llegó el final y terminó siendo una decepción más.
No puedo describir lo aburrida que me pareció la pelea entre Tokito y Gyokko, yo puedo entender toda esa onda de medir la habilidad del enemigo o lo que sea que quiso aplicar Tokito, pero eso hizo que una pelea que podía ser espectacular debido a las habilidades de ambos, terminara sintiéndose innecesariamente larga y fastidiosa. Lo único que me gustó de este lado de la historia fue el diseño de Gyokko, un completo dispararte de personaje, espectacular. Quizás por eso me molestó tanto que su pelea fuera tan poco emocionante, además de que me perdieron por completo con esa animación tan horrenda con la que hicieron a sus peces.
Mientras Tokito perdía el tiempo al no tomarse en serio al enemigo que tenía enfrente. Tanjiro, Nezuko y Genya se enfrentaban a Hantegu, una luna con la habilidad de dividirse en varios demonios, cada uno bastante poderoso, los cuales pusieron en grandes aprietos a nuestros héroes. Este lado de la batalla comenzó siendo mi favorito, ya que la acción era buena, los poderes de cada faceta de la luna eran increíbles. Lamentablemente, llegó un punto en el que se convirtió en una absurda persecución para destruir el cuerpo principal de Hatengu, mientras Kanroji hacía el ridículo de los ridículos al enfrentarse a Zohakuten, una de las fracciones del demonio, sin éxito alguno.
El papel de la pilar del amor me pareció el peor de todo el arco, yo entiendo que el demonio no podía ser destruido, ya que no era el cuerpo principal, pero aun así su pelea fue realmente mala. No creo que estuviera a la altura de otros pilares que hemos visto en acción. Y es que además, la historia de su personaje me pareció simplemente mala, ¿hacerse pilar para conseguir un esposo tan fuerte como ella?, demasiado ridículo para mí.
Lo único que me pareció interesante del personaje fue su estética durante la batalla, su espada en forma de látigo es genial, lástima que no fue bien aprovechada, ya que se enfrentó a los horrorosos “dragones” (esos eran dragones) de madera, hechos con un 3D espantoso. Ellos junto a los peces de Gyokko se encargaron de echar a perder una animación que hasta ahora había sido espectacular, de verdad hubo momentos en lo que no los quería ni ver de lo mal que quedaron incorporados al resto de la animación. Una verdadera lástima, ya que el arco anterior tuvo una animación hermosa.
Sobre el final, ni hablar, por supuesto que Nezuko también tenía que ser una elegida de cierta forma. De verdad que este tipo de situaciones en los shonen a veces me resultan tan aburridas y predecibles, era obvio que no le iba a pasar nada, quizás hubiera sido más interesante que sí pasara, para que por lo menos pudiéramos tener algo de emoción en el arco. Esta temporada terminó siendo una decepción para mí en la que prácticamente no encontré detalles buenos, los pilares me parecieron bastante regulares si los comparamos con Rengoku y Uzui, a las peleas siento que les faltó acción. Vamos, hasta las historias de los demonios me parecieron aburridas.
Pero lo que de verdad fue una decepción, fue encontrarme con una animación que simplemente no estuvo a la altura de la temporada anterior. Espero que la situación cambie para la siguiente, porque aunque ya sé que no debo tener muchas expectativas en cuanto a la historia, por lo menos quisiera disfrutar de buenas peleas y de una animación como la de la segunda temporada.
