Creo que ser un niño de los 90’s fue grandioso, estábamos en una época en la que la tecnología empezaba a surgir, pero no lo suficiente como para tenernos todo el día frente a una pantalla, como sucede en la actualidad, la televisión era una de las ventanas al entretenimiento, yo estudiaba en la mañana por lo que era en la tarde cuando podía destinar unas horas a ver series. La televisión por cable marcó un antes y un después pues la variedad de dibujos animados y series que podía disfrutar era mayor.
Garfield y sus amigos 😼
Cuando salía de clases me dirigía a la casa de una prima de mi papá para esperar que mis padres me buscaran allí, mientas esperaba me sentaba a ver el canal Cartoon Network y a esa hora presentaban el dibujo animado de Garfield y sus amigos. Este dibujo animado me divertía mucho. Garfield era una gato perezoso con una fascinación especial por la lasaña, siempre se estaba poniendo en problemas a su amo John y en ocasiones se aprovechaba de su compañero canino Oddy, quien podía ser bastante ingenuo frente a las jugarretas del felino, también en algunos episodios aparecía un simpática gatita llamada Telma.
La atmósfera de este dibujo animado me resultaba muy relajante, supongo que tenía que ver el sonido, las voces y el estilo de dibujo, las situaciones eran muy del hogar, Garfield siempre se salía con la suya, a pesar de ser un gato perezoso, era muy travieso, y por lo general frustraba los planes de su amo.
Garfield y sus amigos tenía una sección intermedia llamada la Granja de Orson. Esta sección hacía mucho más interesante el show, porque era mucho más dinámico. Aquí el protagonista era una cerdito llamado Orson, que junto a sus amigos de granja, otra cerdita, un pollito, un gallo, un pato y una oveja, tenían que resolver situaciones en la granja. Cada personaje tenía una personalidad característica. El personaje que más me gustaba era el gallo, pues siempre estaba haciendo alguna travesura a sus compañeros, era un poco malvado pero por lo general las cosas no le salían bien, como una especie de karma, por hacer maldades.

Durante mi infancia siempre me gustó oír historias de fantasmas, mi familia siempre dedicó un espacio en cada reunión familiar para contar experiencias propias o de terceros relacionadas con lo paranormal, de modo que cuando descubrí esta serie, quedé encantando.
Todo empezaba con unos chicos que conformaban un grupo llamado “La Sociedad de la Medianoche”, estos se reunían una vez a la semana para contar una historia de terror alrededor de una fogata. Durante aproximadamente media hora me desconectaba completamente del mundo a mi alrededor y me sumergía en estas fantásticas historias, había de todo un poco, monstruos, fantasmas, situaciones inexplicables, viajes en el tiempo, viajes entre dimensiones, objetos malditos. Realmente yo me dejaba sorprender por cada historia.
Siempre quise vivir la experiencia de contar historias de terror frente a una fogata tal cual los chicos de la serie, es algo que nunca he podido hacer, pero nunca es tarde. Esta serie tiene mucho que ver con mi afición a las historias paranormales, fue una gran producción de los 90 que no tiene comparación.
Los Caballeros del Zodiaco. ♌️
Creo que este anime es uno de los más representativos de mi infancia, cada tarde esperaba sus episodios por un canal nacional llamado Televen. Las armaduras, la identidad ligada a constelaciones, animales, y demás elementos del cosmos, era un especial atractivo para mí y por supuesto la historia, perfectamente construida.
Mi caballero favorito siempre fue Ikki el Ave Fenix, simplemente era imbatible, siempre que hacia su aparición era para rescatar a sus compañeros, creo también que era el más fuerte de todos. Al principio de la historia era un villano, creo que por las condiciones tan adversas de su entrenamiento.
Esta serie está dividida en varias historias, como los torneos de los caballeros de Atena, la batalla contra los caballeros dorados, la lucha contra los caballeros de Asgard, los de Poseidón y los de Abel. Creo que la parte que más disfruté fue la batalla contra los caballeros dorados. Para mí era inevitable identificarme como Ayoria el caballero de Leo, puesto que ese es mi signo zodiacal. De cierto modo también, me veía reflejado en su personalidad.
Esta serie es única para mí, incluso coleccioné álbumes de stickers, lo cual era muy emocionante.
Samurai X 🗡
Esta serie me atrapó sin darme cuenta, recuerdo que la transmitían antes de Dragon Ball, el cual esperaba con ansias, y por eso desde horas antes ya estaba sintonizando el canal, recuerde que empecé a ver esta serie sin mucho interés, pronto estaba muy sumergido en la historia de Kenshin Himura el destajador, un samurái, con un oscuro pasado, que ahora , del lado del bien, es una especie de justiciero, luchando del lado de los desprotegidos, y abogando por la paz en su localidad.
Sin duda lo que más me gustaba de esta serie eran las batallas con espadas, aunque la historia era muy interesante, creo que era muy niño para entender el trasfondo, la época en la que se desarrolla, y los intereses de cada uno. Mis personajes favoritos a parte de Kenshin, el protagonista eran Soujiro, un joven con una trágica historia, que fue acogido por Shishio Makoto, el villano, como discípulo cuando sus padres fueron asesinados, Makoto le enseñó su filosofía y lo entrenó, se convirtió en un gran rival para Kenshin.
En esta serie había una gran hermandad entre personajes sin vínculo familiar, siempre estaban bromeando, y había mucho respeto entre ellos. Cuando no estaban batallando contra los villanos, estaban todos el Dojo entrenando, no todo eran batallas, también tenía su historia para desarrollar otros personajes que no tenían que ver con conflictos belicos.
Dragon Ball Z 🐉
Creo que Dragon Ball Z marcó la infancia de todos los niños de los 90 y lo siguen haciendo hoy día. El boom de este anime debe haber sido motivo de estudio en muchos ámbitos, pues fue algo que revolucionó los dibujos animados.
Dragon Ball Z fue épico y creo que en mi país mantuvo a millones de niños frente a un televisor a una misma hora, este anime era motivo de conversación en la escuela, todos los niños hablábamos de estos personajes, comprábamos tarjetas, dibujábamos y hacíamos muchas cosas relacionadas con los personajes de Dragon Ball. Quien no se intentó convertir en super Sayayin, o quien no probó la velocidad de sus puños con alguna superficie amoblada.
Recuerdo distintos segmentos de la historia, como la llegada de Vegeta a la Tierra, el viaje al planeta Namekusei y el enfrentamiento contra Freezer, la epica conversión de Goku como super Syayin, la aparición de los androides 17 y 18, el torneo con Cell, y la batalla contra Majin boo.
No sabría decir que parte disfruté más, aunque Goku contra Freezer siempre será una de las peleas más épicas de esta historia.

I think being a child of the 90's was great, we were in a time when technology began to emerge, but not enough to keep us all day in front of a screen, as it happens today, television was one of the windows to entertainment, I studied in the morning so it was in the afternoon when I could allocate a few hours to watch series. Cable television marked a before and after because the variety of cartoons and series that I could enjoy was greater.
Garfield and friends 😺
When I got out of school I would go to my dad's cousin's house to wait for my parents to pick me up there, while I was waiting I would sit down to watch the Cartoon Network channel and at that time they showed the cartoon Garfield and his friends. This cartoon amused me a lot. Garfield was a lazy cat with a special fascination for lasagna, he was always getting his master John in trouble and sometimes he took advantage of his canine companion Oddy, who could be quite naive in front of the feline's tricks, also in some episodes a nice kitten called Telma appeared.

During my childhood I always liked to hear ghost stories, my family always dedicated a space in every family reunion to tell their own experiences or those of others related to the paranormal, so when I discovered this series, I was enchanted.
It all started with some kids who formed a group called "The Midnight Society", they met once a week to tell a horror story around a campfire. For about half an hour I was completely disconnected from the world around me and immersed in these fantastic stories, there was a little bit of everything, monsters, ghosts, inexplicable situations, time travel, travel between dimensions, cursed objects. I really let myself be amazed by every story.
I always wanted to live the experience of telling horror stories in front of a campfire just like the guys in the series, it's something I've never been able to do, but it's never too late. This series has a lot to do with my love of paranormal stories, it was a great 90's production that has no comparison.

I think this anime is one of the most representative of my childhood, every afternoon I waited for its episodes on a national channel called Televen. The armors, the identity linked to constellations, animals, and other elements of the cosmos, was a special attraction for me and of course the story, perfectly constructed.

Without a doubt what I liked most about this series were the sword battles, although the story was very interesting, I think I was too young to understand the background, the era in which it takes place, and the interests of each one. My favorite characters other than Kenshin, the main character were Soujiro, a young man with a tragic history, who was taken in by Shishio Makoto, the villain, as a disciple when his parents were killed, Makoto taught him his philosophy and trained him, he became a great rival for Kenshin.
In this series there was a great brotherhood between characters with no family ties, they were always joking around, and there was a lot of respect between them. When they were not battling against the villains, they were all in the Dojo training, not everything was battles, it also had its history to develop other characters that did not have to do with warlike conflicts.

Dragon Ball Z was epic and I believe that in my country it kept millions of children in front of a TV set at the same time, this anime was a topic of conversation at school, all the children talked about these characters, we bought cards, drew and did many things related to the Dragon Ball characters. Who didn't try to become a super Sayayin, or who didn't test the speed of his fists with some furnished surface.
I remember different segments of the story, such as Vegeta's arrival to Earth, the trip to the planet Namekusei and the confrontation against Freezer, the epic conversion of Goku as super Syayin, the appearance of androids 17 and 18, the tournament with Cell, and the battle against Majin boo.
