Hello to all the members of this community and lovers of cosplays! A couple of days ago, I uploaded a post about an anime event I attended and showed some pictures about my cosplay. As I mentioned, here I show them in more detail.
First of all, what is my cosplay made of? It's a house. Yes, it is literally a house. The character is called "Home" and belongs to a lost media project called Welcome Home. In this project, the main characters are very colorful puppets and the main character lives in Home, a house that has a life of its own, to the point of moving his eyes (which are the windows themselves) and communicating through onomatopoeia. As very little is known about the characters and especially about Home, fans have created many theories around them. But what strikes me the most is that some people have humanized Home, the house, giving it, through different fanarts, a human body with which to move. The funniest thing is that they dress him in various and colorful outfits.
I liked the drawings I found of this humanized Home so much that I decided to make my own version. I thought about the clothes I had at home and put together an ideal outfit for him. When the event was close, I thought it was an excellent idea to try to make it a reality, so I got to work.
My humanized version of the character
Since I already had the clothes, I basically just had to make the head. Which I made from a cardboard box (in another publication, I explain more thoroughly how I did it). What I like the most about cosplaying is the creation process, that's why I'm more than a cosplayer, I'm a cosmaker, since I make all my costumes myself. Since this was my first cosplay of this type, I didn't really know how I would do it. But after some thought, I was able to craft the head in a way that worked for me. I had also thought about making a puppet of Home's guest (Wally), as well as some signs with different onomatopoeias, but due to time, it couldn't be. Still, the result alone was perfect for me.
Although my head allows me to see through the windows, I admit that this vision is limited. Luckily my boyfriend was there to help me not trip. He was quite funny, because the cosplayers who had limitations of this type also had their respective companion. Also, I took advantage of the moment to take a few funny videos. I felt funny, so I just did it. For a cosplay that I made in a week or so, I really liked how it looks, so I hope I can wear it again, with the accessories I originally thought of. If you want to cosplay and you don't dare because of the complexity and lack of materials, just look at this one. I used casual clothes and a box to make it. Do not hold back, with some imagination, you can do things that will surprise us.

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de ésta comunidad y amantes de los cosplays! Hace un par de días atrás, subí una publicación sobre un evento anime al cual asistí y mostré algunas fotografías acerca de mi cosplay. Como les había mencionado, aquí se los muestro más detalladamente.
Primero que nada ¿De qué es mi cosplay? Es una casa. Si, literalmente es una casa. El personaje se llama "Home" y pertenece a un proyecto de lost media que lleva por nombre Welcome Home. En éste proyecto, los personajes principales son marionetas muy coloridas y el protagonista, vive en Home, una casa que tiene vida propia, hasta el punto de mover sus ojos (que son las propias ventanas) y comunicarse a través de onomatopeyas. Como se conoce muy poco acerca de los personajes y sobretodo de Home, los fans hemos creado muchas teorías alrededor de ellos. Pero lo que más me llama la atención es que algunas personas han humanizado a Home, la casa, otorgándole a través de distintos fanarts, un cuerpo humano con el cual movilizarse. Lo más divertido, es que lo visten con variados y coloridos outfits.
Los dibujos que encontré de éste Home humanizado, me gustaron tanto, que yo decidí hacer mi propia versión. Pensé en la ropa que tenía en casa y armé un outfit ideal para él. Cuando estuvo cercano el evento, pensé que era una excelente idea para tratar de volverlo una realidad, así que puse manos a la obra.
Mi versión humanizada del personaje
Como ya tenía la ropa, básicamente sólo tuve que elaborar la cabeza. La cual la hice a partir de una caja de cartón (en otra publicación, les explico más minuciosamente cómo la hice). Lo que más me gusta de hacer cosplay, es el proceso de creación, por eso, yo más que cosplayer, soy una cosmaker, ya que yo misma elaboro todos mis trajes. Cómo éste era mi primer cosplay de éste tipo, no sabía muy bien cómo haría. Pero luego de pensarlo un poco, pude elaborar la cabeza de una forma que me funcionó. Había pensado en hacer también una marioneta del huésped de Home (Wally), así como unos letreros con distintas onomatopeyas, pero debido al tiempo, no pudo ser. Aún así, el resultado por sí solo fue perfecto para mí.
A pesar de que la cabeza me permite ver a través de las ventanas, admito que ésta visión es limitada. Por suerte mi novio estaba allí para ayudarme a no tropezar. Fue bastante gracioso, porque los cosplayers que tenían limitaciones de éste tipo, igualmente contaban con su respectivo acompañante. También, aproveché el momento para tomarme unos cuantos videos graciosos. Me sentía divertida, así que simplemente lo hice. Para haber sido un cosplay que elaboré en una semana más o menos, me gustó muchísimo como luce, de modo que espero poder usarlo de nuevo, con los accesorios que pensé en un principio. Si deseas hacer cosplay y no te atreves por la complejidad y falta de materiales, sólo mira éste. Usé ropa casual y una caja para elaborarlo. No te reprimas, con algo de imaginación, se pueden hacer cosas que nos sorprenderán.
