So recently I resurrected my twitter account after likely 8 year of inactivity and ever since I'm feeling eager to do the same with my HIVE account. I didn't want to write just about anything, but rather focus on something which could bring some value to someone's life.
I have a small but diversified group of friends. I always viewed this as an advantage, as this helped me to become more open minded, respect others and grow my consciousness, to the point where I was able to form my own beliefs, based on a broader understanding. During the past two years I've been also extensively listening to variety of different podcasts, people like Jordan Peterson, Russel Brand, Wim Hof, Tom Bileau, Aubry Marcus and more. Each of these individuals has a unique skill that they mastered, most of them also happen to know each other. What they have in common is for sure that they're about taking control of one's own life and finding meaning. I'm grateful I've been able to learn from these guys. This brings me to the whole point of creating a cold therapy community here on HIVE.
I believe life is all about balance. You just can't ignore one aspect of it and only focus on the other. Can't ignore the health in favor of finance. Can't neglect the body and be only about the mind.
I've been taking ice baths daily (cold showers when I'm traveling) for over 3 months now and this is probably the most impactful thing I've done in years. It changed how I feel, how I sleep, how I eat, how I deal with stress, etc.
We're in the middle of an information war. People are being hypnotized by mass media, and the reasons they're falling for this are mainly: loneliness, lack of meaning and anxiety. Through the cold therapy we can gradually overcome these, and come out on the other side healthier, stronger and happier.
With this community, I'm hoping to bring awareness about the cold therapy to you and provide a platform for you to share your experiences with the cold, and how it impacted your life.
Let me know if you've ever tried taking an ice bath/a cold shower and how it felt :) Also please be gentle - this is my first post after 3 years and I might be a bit rusty.
