Never head about cold therapy? Neither did I over a year ago, when my friend sent me this video:
That was the first time I heard about Wim Hof. Back then I didn't realize the impact the cold exposure has on both the body and the mind. Only over 3 months ago I started doing the ice baths on a daily basics. The thing that caught my attention at first was the Wim Hof Breating method (WHM), which I'm practicing since October 2020. For me personally, this is the most powerful meditation I have ever come across. But it is so much more than only a meditation technique.
Here is the explanation of the method provided by Wim Hof himself:
And below you can find a guided breathing video:
So far, out of all the people I know, only my girlfriend was able to overcome prejudices and doubt and she actually started doing the breathing on a regular basics. She's into ice baths as well :) I'm curious if anyone here on HIVE will be convinced to actually try it :) To all of you doubting, just do it and see how it feels! :)
I think the Wim Hof breathing method is a kind of a gateway into the cold therapy. It allows you to regain connection with your primordial mind and become more aware of your body.
