This was my room when I was growing up. I had many a good night's sleep in there. Even though it looks like a tenement, it was my tenement. At one time I shared it with my three sisters, two per single bed but finally, I kicked them all out and had the place to myself in my teens. Not much has changed over the years, my father had installed a heating system and I had painted a few times. The paint was a wash, to give it a very dark blotchy green and blue effect. With my self made wooden desk and bed, it felt like the room of an interpret explorer. With maps on the wall and odd things from my travels.
But now with a child of my own, I figured at long last I would give it a facelift. He was the designer and I allowed him to choose any colour as long as it was white.
Done! I also threw in a laminate floor. He is happy out, it is nice, bright and fresh. I told him if he was very good that one day I will get him a bed and other furniture but for now, the budget is blown.
