Hello friends, today I share how I made a wooden box from scrap wood useful to contain and decorate plants pots made from recycled containers.
Hola amigos, hoy comparto como fabrique una caja de madera a partir de desechos de madera útil para contener y decorar plants pots hechos con envases reciclados
For this project, cut pieces of scrap wood to the desired size and cut into four parts to form a square shape with a handsaw.
Para este proyecto utilice trozos de residuos de madera los cuales medí al tamaño deseado y corte con una sierra de mano en cuatro partes para formar una figura cuadrada.
After getting the four pieces of wood, I begin to join them at their ends, using hammer and nails to form a box.
Luego de obtener los cuatro trozos de madera comienzo a unirlos en sus extremos, utilizando martillo y clavos hasta formar una caja.
I cut three pieces of thin wood to glue on the bottom of the box.
Corte tres trozos de madera delgada para pegarlos realizar el fondo de la caja.
Then smear glue with sawdust to form a paste and seal the joints between the pieces of wood.
Then smooth with sandpaper and perfect the edges a little with the help of a cutter.
Luego unte pegamento con aserrín para formar una pasta y sellar las uniones entre los trozos de madera.
Para después alisar con papel de lijar y perfeccionar un poco los bordes con la ayuda de un cutter.
As an extra I drew a hummingbird perched on a flower, this was done by burning the wood with an old hot tin soldering iron to give a more rustic touch to the drawing.
Como extra le dibuje un colibrí posado en una flor, esto lo realice quemando la madera con un viejo soldador de estaño caliente para darle un toque mas rustico al dibujo.
Here I have the pot with the potos plant, as you can see the pot is a recycled container and needs to be covered with something as it is not very decorative.
Aquí tengo la maceta con la planta de potos, como ven la maceta es un envase reciclada y necesita cubrirla con algo ya que no es muy decorativa.
Ready I got my decorative plant, now I just have to wait for the plant to begin to grow and spread throughout the aquarium area.
Listo ya tengo mi planta decorativa, ahora solo queda esperar que la planta comience a crecer y se extienda por toda la zona del acuario.
