Always wanted a fireplace or wood burning stove.. Well the present situation we all find ourselves in the world has forced me to make the move...
Would have liked to have it in the living room but 11 cats and 500 degrees do not get along. So in the basement where I will frame out some chicken wire with a door to keep the cats safe in the basement..

Arrived last Wednesday for installation....

It is a small one but still very heavy, Vermont Castings co. ...

My two story house made the job harder, plus an added off-set for the house roof overhang. Installer Tim wanted to make a hole through the overhang, put I didn't so and extra turn was added. That made 4 bends in the expensive chimney pipe...

This was the only practical place in the basement to put it. In the middle of the north wall... Next to the clothes dryer... on one side and the cat's window viewing perch...

Had to make a 45 degree bend .. Only one place for chimney pipe to go & stove needed to be where it is..

All ready to blaze away.. after I get the chicken wire around it for cat burn prevention.
