The planet needs us to do our part in different ways to preserve it and minimize the impacts we cause to nature with our productive activities. Today I offer you this recycling alternative that you can do by yourself, at home.

These are the steps:

Materials:

25 to 35 plastic bags where food is packaged, such as sugar, rice, flour, etc. The amount depends on the size of the tablecloth you want to make.

Waxed paper

Color Ribbons

Needle and thread

Silicon and silicone gun

Scissors

Iron

Fold each of the bags into three folds, then crisscross them in detail to form a fabric. You can use pins to help keep them firm at the edges and remove them later.

Measure the amount of waxed paper to be used, cut and place both below and above the criss-crossed bags

We proceed to iron the tablecloth, place the iron at polyester temperature and pass it over the waxed paper

Remove the waxed paper and cut the edges to give the tablecloth a straighter shape

We proceed to sew tape of the color of our preference on the edges, around the tablecloth

Ready we made a placemat, now to use it and to show it
