They can be found almost everywhere. This observation is from the woods near the West Bohemian town of Stříbro. There is a stream nearby and the slopes here are very wet in places.

Mating is a common scene and this couple is from the Berounka river just below Beroun.
I like to walk mainly the left bank from Srbsko to Beroun, there are meadows and big trees and you can get good photos of insects, flowers and birds on and around the river.

I got this observation from the Jizera River. It's from the bank, although there are pools and blind arms of the river too.
