Today I want to talk to you about Disonycha, a genus of flea beetles in the family Chrysomelidae.

There are at least 150 described species in Disonycha
Commmon appearance
Size: 4 to 8 mm.
Head. thorax abdomen: red or orange and black with white stripes
Antennae: black
Legs: black and red.
Distribution:
Native of continental US and Canada, so it is surprising to find them here towards the tropics.
This finding was made in Tocuyito, Libertador municipality, Carabobo, Venezuela, in September 19th 2021.
