Making beats isn't always the same as making songs...

Sometimes a beat can be great. But without vocals, they can just seem incomplete.

For as good as an instrumental can be, there's a whole different life breathed into it via a human voice. As such, music without vocals can sometimes feel sorta empty. For as much life as there might be within an instrumental, there are just entirely different dimensions waiting to be explored with the right vocal track.

Nonetheless, sometimes beats come first. And it can be challenging to get super inspired on a beat alone, knowing there's something missing that can only be filled by the right vocalist. Regardless, so goes the process sometimes.

This is such a beat.

I've had weird fluctuations back & forth between inspiration and not on this one, although it did turn out alot better than I anticipated when first just starting to fuck around with some guitar over the main drum loop. Overall, the vibe was pretty cool. And the process of mixing it to sound even better has been satisfying.

As to where it'll go from here, who knows. I really have no idea as to which of all these projects I've been posting here may lead to something down the road when inspiration hits to complete them with lyrics myself or I cross paths with artists who could do the beats way more justice than myself.

Time shall tell.
