Desde hace algunos días tenia ganas de hacer esta casita de jengibre, pero no había tenido tiempo, asi que hoy aproveché que tuve la tarde libre para ponerme manos a la obra, sinceramente hacerlas es muy sencillo, pero como siempre a mi se me complicaron las cosas un poco y eso me hizo tardar bastante y cometer errores fatales jaja. Al final el resultado es muy lindo y bastante divertido de hacer, asi que vale la pena intentarlo. Para hacer esta casa utilicé, cartón de cereal, lápiz, regla, silicón caliente, pintura marrón y blanca.
I'd been wanting to make this gingerbread house for a few days, but I hadn't had the time. So today, since I had the afternoon free, I finally got around to it. Honestly, making them is really easy, but as usual, things got a little complicated for me, which made it take quite a while and lead to some fatal mistakes, haha. In the end, the result is very cute and quite fun to make, so it's definitely worth a try. To make this house, I used cereal boxes, a pencil, a ruler, hot glue, and brown and white paint.
Proceso/Process
Para comenzar hice dos cuadros de 12x10 cm los cuales serían la parte de en frente y trasera de la casa, para los lados hice dos cuadros de 8x10 cm, en mi caso solo tenía cartón de cereal blanco asi que tuve que pintarlo de marrón. Luego me di cuenta que no podía pegarlo bien sin tener cartón extra, asi que pegue nuevamente otro pedazo de cartón en cada esquina para que pudiese juntar todas las piezas correctamente.
To begin, I made two 12x10 cm squares, which would be the front and back of the house. For the sides, I made two 8x10 cm squares. In my case, I only had white cereal box cardboard, so I had to paint it brown. Then I realized I couldn't glue it together properly without extra cardboard, so I glued another piece of cardboard to each corner so I could put all the pieces together correctly.
Pero me di cuenta que se me olvido hacer la parte delantera y trasera de la casa con forma de casa, literal hice solo una caja simple y asi no la quería jajaja, asi que tuve que medir y hacer una pieza extra en forma de triangulo la cual pin te y pegué en la parte superior de la casa, luego medí el grosor y largo del techo para pegar dos piezas mas en esa parte, sinceramente no recuerdo las medidas del techo porque la medí en el momento. Para hacer el glaseado utilice silicón caliente y deje caer las gotas para darle forma de crema y finalmente pinte de blanco todo el silicon y tambien agregue detalles, las ventanas y la puerta.
But I realized I forgot to make the front and back of the house. I literally just made a simple box, and I didn't want it like that, haha. So I had to measure and make an extra triangular piece, which I painted and glued to the top of the house. Then I measured the thickness and length of the roof to glue two more pieces to that part. Honestly, I don't remember the roof measurements because I measured it on the spot. To make the frosting, I used hot glue and let the drops fall to give it a creamy texture. Finally, I painted all the glue white and added details, like the windows and the door.
