Let's make a hat for Tommy

Hoy simplemente se me ocurrió hacerle un gorro a mi gato Tommy, no se porque creí que fuese buena idea sabiendo lo delicado que es y lo mucho que odia que le ponga cosas encima jajaja, pero igual quise intentarlo para al menos algunas fotos, salió bastante bien el sombrero, pero las fotos no tanto, realmente fue muy difícil que dejara colocarse eso en la cabeza. Las pocas fotos que pude tomar le tuve que pedir a mi esposo que lo cargara y fue como pudo quedarse un poco mas tranquilo, aunque en las fotos se le nota la expresión de rabia y fastidio jajaja. Igual es una idea muy simpática para las mascotas, sobre todo esta temática de sombrero de bruja por Halloween, espero que les guste.

Today I just thought of making a hat for my cat Tommy, I don't know why I thought it was a good idea knowing how delicate he is and how much he hates things being put on him hahaha, but I still wanted to try it for at least some photos, the hat came out pretty good, but the photos not so much, it was really hard to get him to put that on his head. The few photos I was able to take I had to ask my husband to carry him and that's how he was able to calm down a little, although in the photos you can see his expression of rage and annoyance hahaha. It's still a very nice idea for pets, especially this witch hat theme for Halloween, I hope you like it.

Comencé por la parte superior del sombrero y para ello primero hice una especie de boceto en una hoja blanca, donde dibuje un circulo de aproximadamente 15 cm con ayuda de un compás, luego marque una línea desde el centro hasta un costado y recorte esta forma, una vez que ya tenia el molde lo calqué en una hoja de cartulina morada.

I started with the top of the hat and to do so I first made a sort of sketch on a white sheet of paper, where I drew a circle of approximately 15 cm with the help of a compass, then I marked a line from the center to one side and cut out this shape, once I had the template I traced it onto a sheet of purple cardboard.

Después de recortarlo lo doble creando asi un cono, lo pegamos con pegamento blanco para que se mantenga de esta forma y mientras se seca vamos haciendo la parte superior del sombrero, en este caso dibuje un circulo a medida de la cabeza de mi gato y en el centro hice otro circulo mas pequeño. Luego dividí el centro en 8 partes usando líneas rectas en diferentes angulos.

After cutting it out, I folded it into a cone shape. I glued it with white glue to hold it in place. While it dries, I made the top of the hat. In this case, I drew a circle the size of my cat's head, and in the center, I made a smaller circle. Then, I divided the center into eight parts using straight lines at different angles.

Ahora recorté las líneas que dibuje anteriormente para crear estos pequeños triángulos que ayudaran a pegar el sombrero, uní la parte inferior con la superior usando nuevamente pegamento blanco, mientras se secaba use foami blanco y lo pinte de naranja y luego recorte una forma de hebilla, con foami negro escarchado hice una cinta delgada que sería la correa del sombrero y pegue estos dos elementos al gorro.

Now I cut out the lines I drew earlier to create these small triangles that would help glue the hat, I joined the bottom part with the top part using white glue again, while it dried I used white foam and painted it orange and then cut out a buckle shape, with frosted black foam I made a thin ribbon that would be the strap of the hat and glued these two elements to the cap.

Realmente es muy sencillo realizar estos sombreros, pero quizás si puedas fallar un poco en las medidas como me paso a mí, aunque no lo mencioné antes, lo intente dos veces ya que la parte superior del sombrero me había quedado muy pequeña aunque aún asi sigue siendo algo muy divertido de hacer sobre todo cuando ves a tu mascota con el sombrero puesto.

It's really very easy to make these hats, but maybe you can make a little mistake in the measurements like I did, although I didn't mention it before, I tried it twice since the top of the hat was too small for me, although it's still something very fun to do, especially when you see your pet wearing the hat.
