Hello friends of #HiveDiy, today I want to show you a small watercolor painting that I made as a birthday present for a friend from church.

It turns out that days before her birthday, I sent her a picture of a yellow flower as a symbol of a beautiful friendship, but then I forgot her birthday, something that made me feel ashamed. So I decided to paint a yellow flower in a small box to remember the meaning of that photo that I had sent him days before.
Resulta que días antes de su cumpleaños, le envié la foto de una flor amarilla como símbolo de una bonita amistad, pero luego olvidé el día de su cumpleaños, algo que me hizo sentir avergonzada. Así que decidí pintar en un pequeño cuadro una flor amarilla para recordar el significado de aquella foto que le había enviado días antes.
The materials I used were very few: glue, smooth opaline cardboard, thick and compact cardboard, my watercolors, water, a couple of brushes and an ultrafine tip marker.
Los materiales que utilicé fueron muy pocos: pega, cartulina opalina lisa, cartón grueso y compacto, mis acuarelas, agua, un par de pinceles y un marcador de punta ultrafina.
The first thing I did was cut a piece of cardboard in a rectangular shape, and cut a piece of white cardboard one square centimeter larger than the cardboard, and then I glued the cardboard onto the cardboard as centered as possible
Lo primero que hice fue cortar un trozo de cartulina blanca de forma rectangular, y cortar un trozo de cartón de un centímetro cuadrado más grande que la cartulina, y luego pegué la cartulina sobre el cartón lo más centrada posible.
I started to paint the flower from the petals, first some without so much pigment, and on the top layer the petals with slightly purer watercolor.
Comencé a pintar la flor desde los pétalos, primero unos sin tanto pigmento, y en la capa de arriba pétalos con acuarela un poco más pura.
To paint the stem and leaves of the flower, I mixed some light green and light brown watercolors, with enough water so that the color was not too dark; and with a finer brush, I defined the stem and leaves.
Para pintar el tallo y las hojas de la flor, mezclé un poco de acuarelas color verde claro y marrón claro, con suficiente agua para que no quedara tan oscuro el color; y con un pincel más fino, definí el tallo y hojas.
To finish, with the ultrafine marker I wrote a verse from the Bible that I love as a dedication: "A friend loves at all times, and is like a brother in time of distress." (Proverbs 17.17)
Para finalizar, con el marcador ultrafino escribí como dedicatoria un verso de la biblia que me encanta:
"En todo tiempo ama el amigo, y es como un hermano en tiempo de angustia." (Proverbios 17.17)
