Happy afternoon my friends! If you're here it's because you're curious to know how I made and stitched a panty from a one-sleeved blouse. Look, I'm always updating my clothes and there are clothes that I have stored away and that I didn't know I had them like that and others that no longer fit me and here we create a lot and transform clothes to our style. This black blouse with tulle flap sleeves that she had undoubtedly fit me tight in the arm area about halfway and since it's super new I decided to transform it, that is, cut it to where it would fit me well and that's what I did a few weeks ago.

To put it in context, these sleeves ended up in the basket of fabrics that I have saved hahaha but yesterday I saw many ideas on Pinterest, my favorite app to find creative ideas, seriously if you want to look for a particular model and something to do if you have no idea go to Pinterest 🤭 you will find that and many more things, well anyway, the fact is that the fabric of this blouse which is like a mesh was special to make me a panty so without thinking I took it apart and got to work, I show you the process and result. 🥰

Paso 01

Step 01

Before I started cutting my pieces I went straight to the haberdashery store near my house to buy the elastic because I had the idea in mind but I didn't have the elastic for this panty so I went to buy it, for my size which is M I bought 1.50 cm of elastic, so with a panty that fit me well I cut the front piece and the back part at the crotch part, I made it longer so that it would be a little high and at the end I cut a small piece of black fabric so that the bottom part of the panty would be resistant.

The next thing we will do is join the pieces of the side part and the one between the legs with the pins. They are three pieces in black and I decided to use the tulle fabric for the middle. We sew and finish our pieces with a zigzag.

We do the same with the back pieces, we sew the sides in the black fabric and the crotch.

What we will do is join the bottom pieces, the front and the back, at the crotch and we will join the piece of fabric with the pins to reinforce it. We will also sew both sides together and always remember to finish with a zigzag so that our panties do not come loose while we stretch them.

I proceed to sew the elastic along the front with a straight seam along the edge of the elastic. We sew both legs and finish off the elastic on top by stretching it a little. Then we do the same step with the elastic around my waist and also finish off the top with a zig zag. This way, the panty looks great.

This is how my friends made the panty. I bought a soft elastic because sometimes the first time we use them they tend to bother us a little, that's why I recommend buying a soft one, but if you like them to fit tight, then welcome, it's also valid 😊, the fabric is enough for us depending on the size we are, we should always use a fabric that is somewhat manageable and stretchy, so now you have this nice idea to recycle your sleeves.
