A few days ago, I was thinking about what to do with some green felt I had at home, and I came up with this cute idea. I've seen many felt plushie ideas on Pinterest, and this one I liked the most. I want to make other plushies I saw because they're so cute, and we can use them as keychains on our bags, purses, and backpacks.

Once we have the patterns in hand, we proceed to place the felt folded in half and we are going to mark our frog's body with the help of a color that shows up on the felt so that it is easy to see where we are going to cut since we have to leave centimeters for seams, we proceed to cut the little body of our frog and we will start sewing with a zigzag stitch by hand, which I will show you how to do in the next step.

To make the faux overlock stitch to sew the edge of the frog's body, we'll take the needle with the thread and insert it from top to bottom, leaving a stub of thread. Then, bringing the needle back, we'll pass it through the front of the stub of thread we just left, and pull it through. We'll do this for each stitch all along the edge of the frog's body.

When we are finishing sewing with this stitch on the body, we must not forget to leave a small opening to insert our stuffing. We then completely fill the plush toy and seal the hole we left with a faux overlock stitch again. Finally, we make the eyes and mouth with black thread.

As a final step, I decided to make him some shorts. I cut two pieces of the shorts part, sewed them along the sides, then at the top and at the hem to prevent them from falling off 🤭. I used a needle with transparent nylon thread and sewed it all around the waist of the plushie. With this, we have finished it.
