The first step to make the swaddle was to cut the taffeta fabric into strips ten (10) centimeters wide, then I folded them in half and ironed them, then I joined them with a straight stitch, facing right sides together and I obtained twelve (12) meters of ribbon.

El primer paso para elaborar el arrullo fue cortar la tela tafeta en tiras de diez (10) centímetros de ancho, luego las doblé a la mitad y las planché, seguidamente las uní con puntada recta, enfrentando derecho con derecho y obtuve doce (12) metros de cinta.
Then I cut the front and back pieces of the swaddle, one from patterned fabric and the other from gabardine fabric.
Luego corté las piezas delantera y trasera del arrullo, una en tela estampada y la otra en tela de gabardina.
Once the pieces were cut, the next step was to place the ruffle. To do this, I divided the fabric in half and placed a pin that would serve as a guide to start sewing. I faced the ribbon right sides together with the fabric. I made the ruffles approximately two (2) centimeters wide and sewed with a straight stitch.
Cortadas las piezas, el siguiente paso fue colocar el rufle, para ello dividí la tela por la mitad y coloqué un alfiler que servirá de guía para iniciar la costura, enfrenté la cinta derecho con derecho de la tela e hice los rufles de aproximadamente dos (2) centímetros de ancho y cosí con puntada recta.
Then I hand-stitched the ruffles to avoid using pins when joining the other piece, as I've pricked myself several times when removing them. This way, I sew more comfortably and securely. I also placed right sides together and pinned them together.
Luego cosí con puntada a mano los ruffles, para evitar usar alfileres al momento de unir la otra pieza, ya que en varias ocasiones me he pinchado cuando los voy a retirar así coso con más comodidad y seguridad. Además enfrenté derecho con derecho las piezas y sujeté con alfileres.
I sewed with a straight stitch, using the previous seam as a guide, leaving an opening for turning, then I zigzag stitched to secure the seam.
Cosí con puntada recta, tomando como guía la costura anterior, dejando una abertura para voltear, luego pasé puntada de zigzag para asegurar la costura.
Once the stitching was finished, I removed the excess fabric with zigzag scissors and turned it over. I also checked that the entire piece was sewn.
To finish, I placed pins in the opening and closed with a straight stitch. With these simple steps, a cute swaddle is ready for the little ones in the house.
